Welcome to our Religion homepage. As a Catholic school, our primary duty is to teach the faith to our students. This is done through incorporation into the curriculum of all content areas but most specifically in our religion classes and religious activities. Every Friday, at 9:00, we have an all-school Mass in church. Each week, a different class is responsible for planning and participating in the Mass. Students are actively involved in the Readings and Offertory procession as well as singing in the school choir or being a server. In addition, throughout the year, we have many special Masses, Paraliturgies, and other religious activities where students are able to learn about the faith and show their devotion to God. Our "Team up with God" activities have teams of students from all grades working and learning together about the treasures of our faith. Our junior high students serve as group leaders and set a great example for our younger students. Throughout the year, stewardship also plays an important role in the daily lives of our students. Each class does a year long stewardship project that is appropriate for their age that prepares them for a life of service to Christ.

Sacramental Preparation is an important component of a Catholic School. Student in all grades learn the importance of the sacraments and are prepared for them when the time comes. Second grade classes participate in First Reconciliation and First Eucharist and receive additional teaching about these sacraments to prepare them to receive these special gifts. Eighth graders also receive additional sacramental preparation to prepare them to become adult members of the church through Confirmation. Part of their education includes an "Insights Retreat" where students spend a day experiencing the plight of people in our own community and then create stewardship projects to help fill some of the needs they experience. All of the ceremonies and activities are designed to respect the sacraments and give special meaning to the experiences of all involved.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
