News and Notes:  The parts of speech lesson is just an overview to familiarize or review (as the case may be)  before we begin our next unit on the sentence. Each part of speech is studied at great length throughout the year.  We use a spiraling curriculum which means that most concepts are revisited year to year with  added depth, development, and greater application as the child progresses in age and understanding.
