CATHERINE OF SIENA
LITURGY
COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
DECEMBER
8th, 2010
Present: Fr. Stef Bankemper,
Carol Adams, Mary Buten, Kim Lampe, Judy Leick, Mary Ann Metzner, Alison
Schwalbach
I. Prayer- The opening
prayer was led by Carol Adams.
II. Educational Component-
Chapters 3 and 4 will be covered next month.
A. Evaluation
of Past Liturgies
1. Thanksgiving Mass and St. Bernard’s donations- An ample amount of
canned goods and about $500 were collected and delivered to St. Bernard’s.
2. Advent Lessons and Carols- It was decided to have this on a Monday
night next year. The program and the reception were lovely. We also hope to find
a parent who would be willing to help recruit children for the choir next year.
3. Penance Service- No rides were needed.
4. Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary- Both masses were
well attended. We could have used more extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist
for the evening Mass.
5. Advent
a. Booklet- Our thanks go to Mary Brown and Caroline
Kaelin for doing an exceptional job
putting this booklet together, and also to Fr. Stef for writing the reflections.
b. Environment and Advent wreaths- the larger wreaths
look very nice. Fr. Stef will ask Dennis
Kramer if it
would be possible to get a floodlight on them.
c. Jesse Tree- It would be helpful to have a poster back by the tree to
explain how to
participate. This area is also
dark at night and could use some lighting.
d. Advent Wreath Sales- This went well.
B. Future
Liturgies

3. Catholic Schools Mass on January 30th- This is being
