IN OUR PARISH

TIME TALENT AND TREASURE MAILING   Last week, every parish family was asked to make a commitment to the parish of time, talent and treasure.  If you haven’t already completed and returned your pledge card and time and talent commitment sheet, please do so as soon as possible.  Follow up phone calls will be made to all those who have not yet responded.

ALL DAY ADORATION    Beginning Tuesday, November 29th and continuing through December 20th, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will begin immediately following 8:00 a.m. mass and will end with Benediction at 6:45 p.m.  If you would like to sign up for a time, there is a sign-up sheet at the Rossford entrance. If you have any questions, call Cathy Henry at 781-1815.

PARISH JESSE TREE PROJECT   The liturgical season of Advent begins today and with it comes St. Catherine's annual Jesse Tree project. The tree will be located in the church's prayer/meditation space, and will hold ornaments printed with gift ideas for local agencies that are in need of our assistance this Christmas season. The project will begin this weekend and continue until Sunday, December 11th.  It would be much appreciated if your family would take part in this worthwhile project by taking an ornament from the tree, purchasing the indicated item, and returning the item to the Jesse Tree area by December 11th.  Gifts will be distributed to the agencies first thing Monday morning, December 12th, so it is very important that items be returned to church by December 11th.

Lunch with St. Nick Attention all Ages! The Catholic Order of Foresters will be sponsoring a Lunch with St. Nick again this year on December 4th! Join us for lunch, fun, a craft and a visit from St. Nick himself. Admission is free to Foresters but $5 per person for non-members. Please contact Lisa Wormald at 781-6280 or lwormald@fuse.net to make your reservation. Hope to see everyone there!

LOOKING FOR A WAY TO SPREAD JOY THIS CHRISTMAS?   Why not sign up to be a greeter at one of our Christmas masses?  It’s the perfect opportunity to wish many of your fellow parishioners, as well as a good number of visitors, a Merry Christmas.  If you are interested in being a Christmas greeter or if you would like to be a greeter at the weekly Sunday masses, please contact Paul Basham at 781-0012.

SCRIP PROGRAM   With the holidays right around the corner, remember the scrip program for all of your gift-giving and shopping needs.  Please keep in mind that the cut-off date for Christmas orders is Tuesday, December 13th, after that you will be limited to the inventory we have on hand.  Gift cards are not only an easy and useful gift to give someone, they can also be used for your holiday shopping.  We have cards for gas, groceries, restaurants, retail and online stores.  There’s something for everyone and this is a great way to support the parish!

Opportunity TO HELP THE NEEDY AT CHRISTMAS  The Garden Shoppe, run by parishioners Julie DuPont, Teena Devoto, Karen Little, and Mary Scott, is looking for families or groups who may be interested in sponsoring a less fortunate family for Christmas.   In sponsoring a family we will provide you information about the family members and their needs.  As a sponsor you would be responsible for buying, wrapping, and delivering the gifts to the family with whom we connect you.  This is a great opportunity to build a new relationship with those in need of additional support during the holidays.  If you are interested in participating, please call Julie DuPont 859-653-3336 or email jdupont9@insightbb.com.  God Bless you for your prayerful consideration in this important work.
