IN OUR PARISH

THE NEW SCHEDULES   for servers and Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are available in the back of church by the Rossford exit.  Please pick up your schedule.

EASTER HOMILIES    The CD’s with the homilies from the Easter season are now available in the back of church.

CORPUS CHRISTI      Immediately following all 3 weekend masses this weekend, June 6th & 7th, you are invited to remain in church for 15 minutes of adoration and benediction to celebrate the Solemnity of the Body & Blood of Christ.  This is a great time to reflect on the mysteries of our faith and Christ’s real presence, alive, in the Eucharist.

ST. CATHERINE SIENA CLUB     will be meeting next Sunday, June 13th at 12:30 in McCrystal Hall.  If you enjoy good food, fun and friends, be sure to stop by!

FATHER BOB’S GOING AWAY PARTY      As most everyone has heard by now, Fr. Bob will be leaving us as of June 30th and going to St. Philip Parish in Melbourne .  We would like to give him a proper send off and show him how much we have loved having him here and will miss him.  A going away party is being planned for Saturday evening, June 19th at 7pm in McCrystal Hall.  Details of the night will follow, but we want everyone to be sure to mark their calendars.  Also, if you would like to contribute to a gift for Fr. Bob from the parish, you may drop off your contribution to the parish office or give it to Bob Hassman.  Fr. has been looking for a used tractor that he can use at his parents' farm, so we would like to help him be able to buy one.  Check the bulletin and /or email over the next few weeks for more details about the evening.  Also, please pass the word on to anyone you know that may not have heard about the plans so that we can include as many parishioners as possible.

HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES   through the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Monday-Wednesday, June 21, 22nd, & 23rd.  Assistance is needed in transporting families in the IHN van to and from Christ Church and the Day Center in Newport , preparing a meal, hosting a meal and spending the night. This is a great way for families and individuals to work together in service. New volunteers will be paired with experienced helpers so don’t let inexperience keep you from answering the call. Call Mindy Hoarston at 547-8415 for additional information or see the sign-up posters at the Rossford Avenue exit of church.

PRO- LIFE FACT    Every 22 seconds a baby dies from abortion.  That’s 1.4 million babies each year, 4,000 babies each day.
