PLEASE NOTE   Beginning Friday, June 4th and continuing through the summer, the daily mass on Friday will begin at 8:00 a.m.    

CHANGE IN TIME FOR CONFESSION AND BENEDICTION   Next Tuesday, May 11th, confessions will be held from 5:30 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. and Benediction will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the rosary being prayed immediately following. This is due to Confirmation practice being held at 7:00 p.m.

IT’S SKYLINE TIME!!  The next St. Catherine Night at Skyline in Highland Heights is this Thursday, May 13th from 4:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m.   Just mention that you are from St. Catherine and they will donate 10% of your order back to the parish!

THANK YOU      for your donations to the 3rd grade's CCD outreach project, 'Nickels for Newborns'. We collected $198.95!!!!   With that money we purchased the following: almost 500 diapers; 3 large boxes of baby wipes; 3 tubes of diaper ointment; 3 rattles; 5 teethers; 3 baby nail clippers; 2 bottles of baby wash; 10 bottles of shampoo (for the moms); 10 bottles of conditioner (for the moms).  Thank you again for your donations and for helping make our project a success!   The 3rd grade CCD class

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN    We will once again be participating in this fundraiser for Care Net pregnancy center.  It begins today, Mother’s Day and ends on Father’s Day. Just take a baby bottle home with you and fill it with spare change (dollars and checks will also be gratefully accepted!), and return it to church by June 9th.   Your donation will help Care Net minister to women and men who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.  For more information, to donate by credit card, or to volunteer, visit www.choselifenky.org or call 431-9178.

PTO FLOWER SALE      The Annual Flower Sale at the Fort Thomas Florist went extremely well this year!  We had gorgeous weather and plenty of parishioners visited the greenhouse and supported the sale.  Thank you to all of the volunteers and shoppers who were able to make it!   If you missed out on the sale last week, it’s not too late!  We are selling Flowering Hanging Baskets this weekend, May 8th and 9th, after all three masses, outside the Rossford Avenue entrance of the church. This is the perfect opportunity to pick up a gift for Mother’s Day!!! All baskets will be $16.50 and we will accept cash and checks. ST. CATHERINE PLAYERS PRESENT   I'M GETTING MURDERED IN THE MORNING, by Lee Mueller.  You're invited to the wedding reception of Brenda and Eddie! COME HOLY SPIRIT     To prepare for Pentecost on May 23rd, we encourage and invite you to join us in praying a novena to the Holy Spirit after daily masses and during the Sunday masses beginning Friday, May 14th and continuing through Saturday, May 22nd.

SAVE THE DATE   The St. Catherine's Men's Group will be hosting the 4th Annual Cornhole, Euchre & Reds Game on the Big Wall Event, Saturday, May 22nd from 6:30 PM - 11:30 PM in the Parish Center - Gym. This event is for all adults 21 or older (not just for men).  Come join us for an exciting night of cornhole, euchre and Reds game viewing. SUMMER FESTIVAL    Mark your calendars with the dates for St. Catherine’s annual “Summer Festival”!!! The 3-day event will begin with a Golf Outing and dinner on Thursday, June 10th, and will continue with a Music Fest for adult parishioners on Friday, June 11th.  The main event is Saturday, June 12th, beginning after 4:30 P.M. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL     We are still in need of someone to chair this year’s VBS.  Many people have volunteered to help but the position of chair has not yet been filled.  If you would like to volunteer in this capacity please contact Jamie Hochleutner at 781-0855.

ST. BERNARD FOOD PANTRY    The May items for the food pantry are shampoo, toothpaste & bars of soap. You can drop off your donation to church, the parish office or the school office.

CLEANING OUT YOUR CHILD’S BOOK COLLECTION?     This year St. Catherine School has started the Accelerated Reader Program for the students.  Mrs. Hans and Mrs. Perkins have been working hard trying to increase our selection of books in the library.   If you have any grade school appropriate chapter books at home with which your family is finished, please consider donating them to our library. We would love to have them!

ANNUAL WEDDING ANNIVERSARY VESPERS      will be held on September 12th this year.  If you are celebrating a wedding anniversary of 25, 50 or over 50 years this year and would like to receive an invitation to this event, please call the parish office at 441-1352. OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE          The Rose Garden Home Mission is initiating a free medical clinic for the uninsured. Help is needed for minor repairs to the building and then a fresh coat of paint.  Interested and available? Call Sheila Carroll at 491-8771.
