PLEASE NOTE   Beginning Friday, June 4th and continuing through the summer, the daily mass on Friday will begin at 8:00 a.m.   Also, beginning Tuesday, June 1st, the Parish Office will begin summer hours of 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  

YEAR FOR PRIESTS RECEPTION     Please come celebrate Fr. Stef and Fr. Bob and all they do for our parish family, especially during this Year for Priests!  A reception in their honor will be held today, Sunday, May 23rd, at 12:30 p.m. , in McCrystal Hall

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN    We are once again participating in this fundraiser for Care Net pregnancy center from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day. Just take a baby bottle home with you and fill it with spare change (dollars and checks will also be gratefully accepted!), and return it to church by June 9th.   Your donation will help Care Net minister to women and men who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.  For more information, to donate by credit card, or to volunteer, visit www.choselifenky.org or call 431-9178.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL     We are still in need of someone to chair this year’s VBS.  Many people have volunteered to help but the position of chair has not yet been filled.  If you would like to volunteer in this capacity please contact Jamie Hochleutner at 781-0855.

ST. BERNARD FOOD PANTRY    The May items for the food pantry are shampoo, toothpaste & bars of soap. You can drop off your donation to church, the parish office or the school office.

 

FESTIVAL NEWS

 

SUMMER FESTIVAL    Mark your calendars with the dates for St. Catherine’s annual “Summer Festival”!!! The 3-day event will begin with a Golf Outing and dinner on Thursday, June 10th, and will continue with a Music Fest for adult parishioners on Friday, June 11th.  The main event is Saturday, June 12th, beginning after 4:30 P.M. Mass and lasting until midnight .  Volunteer opportunities abound.  Interested persons may contact Jack Rose at (513)505-6458 or jackrose@fuse.net

14TH ANNUAL SAINT CATHERINE GOLF OUTING This year’s outing will be held on Thursday, June 10th at Hickory Sticks Golf Course, California , Ky. The day will begin with registration at 11:15 am followed by lunch. The 18-hole scramble will begin with a Shotgun start at 12:00 noon Sharp. Cost is $85 per person ($340 per foursome) and includes golf, drinks, lunch, and dinner; $65 for golf only; $20 for dinner only, which will be served at Saint Catherine following golf and will kick off the Festival Week! Reservations will be accepted until June 3rd, provided there are still openings. However, this event has sold out in the past, so please get your reservations in right away.

RAT RACES    One of the most exciting events of the St. Catherine Summer Festival is THE RAT RACES!!!! (well, actually mice races)   In order for this event to be successful, we need families to sponsor mice.  The mice will cost $20 for one or $35 for two.  We will have 9 races, 10 mice per race.  Simply send the names you’d like used for your sponsored mice, along with payment to the school office, church office or send via mail to Rob Hans, 34 Carrington Pt., Fort Thomas, KY 41075.  Sponsorships for the mice are going fast so names and payment should be returned as soon as possible, but no later than Monday, June 7th.   Please contact Rob at 441-5430 or rlhans@fuse.net if you have any questions.

CROSS THE BRIDGE FOR LIFE ON SUNDAY, JUNE 6th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Beginning at the World Peace Bell in Newport , hundreds of participants will converge on the Purple People Bridge for this peaceful, prayerful presence to advocate for the sanctity of human life.   Now, more than ever, our voices need to be heard!  Please join us and bring your families.  This is a collaborative event sponsored by the Diocese of Covington, Archdiocese of Cincinnati, and other Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky life affirming organizations. A EUCHARISTIC PROCESSION   will be held around the grounds of the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 6th, the Feast of Corpus Christi.  All priests, deacons, religious and lay faithful of the Diocese are invited to participate in this celebration which is sponsored by the Covington Deanery.  In the Eucharist the Lord Jesus is with us always.  Through participation in this Eucharistic procession we have the opportunity to give witness to belief in the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.  Please consider participating in this celebration.

HEALING MASS   Come and experience Jesus’ healing power in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Wednesday, May 26th at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, 5440 Moeller Ave. , Norwood .  Rosary begins at 6:30 p.m. and Mass at 7:15 p.m.   There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and prayers for generational healing will be available after Mass, followed by Benediction.  Join us as we give thanks and praise to God for all our spiritual blessings as we continue to ask for healing conversion, peace and unity for our lives, as well as for our families, communities and our nation.  Any questions, call (513)351-9800.
