FATHERLESS   dubbed "the Catholic novel of our generation" will leave you Breathless for the Truth about the cultural dismantling of morality and the struggle and courage of those priests in the Catholic Church who dare to proclaim the Truth. Everyone will find their own personal struggles within the characters of “Fatherless”. Author Brian Gail is a former Fortune 500 ad-man, semi-pro baseball player, and father of seven. He has dedicated Fatherless to "The Year For Priests"and will be speaking at St. Catherine on Sunday, April 25th at 7:00 pm . No tickets are required. Questions call 859- 441-3438.

ST. CATHERINE’S MEN’S GOLF LEAGUE     Come join the fun!   Since it’s beginning in 1968, the St. Catherine’s Men’s Golf League gives its members an opportunity to play golf with fellow parishioners, friends and family. The league plays a spouse friendly schedule of only 9 holes every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, starting April 27th through August. An annual end of the year outing on September 16th - 19th at Perry Park Ky, is also available.  Our tee times on Tuesday are from 4 to 6 PM , at A.J. Jolly.  The league is handicapped so everyone can participate on a level playing basis, regardless of ability. We also have a sub list for those who may not be able to play regularly. Contact Kevin Johnson @ 441-8331 or email kjohnson1@fuse.net, for further information.

PTO ANNUAL FLOWER SALE     Now that the cold snap has passed, it is time to get out and work in the garden, beautify your yards with spring and summer flowering plants.  It is a perfect time to visit The Fort Thomas Florist and help support the St. Catherine PTO flower sale!  The sale will be held Wednesday, April 28th from 1:00 pm-5:00 pm and Friday, April 30th from 9:00 am-1:00 pm .  Parish volunteers will be available to help you with the selection and assist you in your purchase.  Payments can be made by cash, check, charge, or house account at the time of purchase. 2010 DPAA   In preparation for Commitment Weekend, please take the time to read the insert that is enclosed in today’s bulletin.  As you learn more about DPAA ministries, reflect upon all the good that has been accomplished throughout the history of the Appeal because of the sacrifices and generosity of our Diocesan family.  Gifts to the Appeal translate into ministries that tirelessly serve thousands of men, women, and children every day of the year.  Some of these ministries benefit you and your fellow Parishioners.  Some of them serve those you may never meet.  A pledge to the Appeal makes you an ambassador for Christ in love, sacrifice and service.  Next weekend, during Mass, we will complete our DPAA pledge forms together.  Everything we do as Church is done to continue the mission of Christ until the end of time.  As we use our gifts in service to one another, we do so in His name. Let us reach out in faith and give generously to the 2010 DPAA.

MESSAGE OF THE HOLY FATHER    for the 47th World Day of Prayer for Vocations, 25 April 2010 , Fourth Sunday of Easter.  “May this World Day once again offer many young people a precious opportunity to reflect on their own vocation and to be faithful to it in simplicity, trust and complete openness.  May the Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, watch over each tiny seed of a vocation in the hearts of those whom the Lord calls to follow him more closely, may she help it to grow into a mature tree, bearing much good fruit for the Church and for all humanity.”  Pope Benedict XVI
