IN OUR PARISH

'S GROUP MEETING AND BURNING OF THE GREENS   Save the trees! (So we can burn them.) In place of our regular Monday meeting in January, the Men's Group will be gathering in the Church parking lot today, Sunday, January 3, at 7:00 pm to drive around town saving Christmas trees from death in a Rumpke truck. We need guys with trucks or trailers and we need other guys to ride shotgun. After saving the trees, we'll gather for refreshments and snacks in McCrystal Hall. If anyone in the Parish needs a tree picked up tonight, please call Dave Barth (441-0194) or Jon Guth (441-1160).

ST. CATHERINE SIENA CLUB   will be having their monthly meeting next Sunday, January 10th at 12:30 p.m. in McCrystal Hall.  Be sure to stop by for some food, fun and friendship!

ST. BERNARD’S PANTRY BENEFACTORS   “Words cannot express our deepest gratitude to you.  Usually by October of each year we are financially low on funds.  However this year, benefactors who feel the plight of the jobless and the chronically needy people have responded even more generously. As the number of clients ever increases, so does the number of our benefactors.  Certainly, God’s loving providence cares for the poor through you…A most sincere THANK YOU to you.  May the spirit of Christmas continue to live in your hearts each day of the New Year and may Peace and Joy be the gift you receive in abundance this Christmas and everyday!  May God be with you to bless you in big ways and in small ways.  May God be with you always! With loving gratitude, Sr. Maddalena, staff and volunteers of St. Bernard Pantry.

ST. CATHERINE JUNIOR HIGH PLAY    Tickets are on sale for the Junior High production of Annie, Jr.   Performance dates are January 15th, 16th, 17th, 22nd, and 23rd.  Cost for show is $5.00.  For tickets call Jennie Cox at 441-4322 or Dottie Hartman at 292-0423.

CALLING ALL PARISHIONERS!!  Help create the St. Catherine of Siena Parish Wall.  A magnificent, one of a kind tile wall, composed of individually painted tiles will be created, but not without you!  Becoming part of this special project and St. Catherine history is easy. Just purchase a voucher anytime between now and our annual Love Boat Fundraiser on February 6, 2010 .  Look for our display after select masses and St. Catherine events, or visit the parish website.  Two options are available – a $50.00 you paint it tile (designs unlimited) or a $75.00 we paint it tile (3 designs available). A date will then be selected in late February for all participants to come and paint their part of history.  Several artists and creative-minded individuals will be on hand to assist you.  So make your mark - celebrate a baptism, birthday, or wedding, memorialize a loved one, or give as a Christmas gift! Visit the St. Catherine website for all details or call Robin Lindeman 781-6255 or Diane Kroger 441-2243 with questions.

THE GREAT ESCAPE   Christ Renews His Parish Women's Retreat (CRHP) will take place February 20 - 21, 2010 . The women of CRHP #4 cordially invite all interested women in joining us for a weekend of spiritual growth and renewal.  CRHP is a wonderful opportunity to experience personal growth and to develop faith-filled relationships with other women of St Catherine's Parish.  If you are interested in attending or getting more information, please contact Helen Brune at 781-2869 or helen.brune@insightbb.com.
