OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY   is extended to the family and friends of Paul Wilz, who passed away on June 25th.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

WE WELCOME   to our parish family through baptism: Iris Inez Loyall, daughter of Eric and Heather.  May the Lord bless their lives with love, health and happiness.

HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES   through the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Monday-Wednesday, July 13th – 15th.   Assistance is needed in transporting families in the IHN van to and from Christ Church and the Day Center in Newport , preparing a meal, hosting a meal and spending the night. This is a great way for families and individuals to work together in service. New volunteers will be paired with experienced helpers so don’t let inexperience keep you from answering the call. Call Mindy Hoarston at 547-8415 for additional information or see the sign-up posters at the Rossford Avenue exit of church.

FR. STEF’S JUNE HOMILIES    are now available on CD and can be picked up in the back of church.

DONATIONS NEEDED    Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky is currently seeking donations of household items (furniture, pots, pans, silverware, bedding, etc.) for their new Sober Living houses.  This organization recently responded to a critical need for Sober Living housing for men and women transitioning out of local mental health, alcohol, and substance treatment programs.  The houses are apartment buildings with one building accommodating 13 people and the other building accommodating 16 people.  A unique feature is that tenants can have their children stay with them overnight, which supports the goal of rebuilding stable families.  The affordable rent gives residents a chance to learn how to budget their money and develop savings accounts while working at what might be a minimum wage job.  Living in the house also provides many opportunities for individuals to succeed in recovery. It provides continued support and new, sober friendships that can be hard to find and maintain outside the house.  To learn more or to find out how to donate items, contact Angie Cooper at 431-1077, ext. 482, or visit their website at www.mhanky.org.
