BULLETIN DEADLINE    Due to the upcoming 4th of July holiday, the deadline for the July 5th bulletin is 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25th.  Please have all submissions for the bulletin to the parish office by this date.  

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN    to benefit CareNet Pregnancy Center , comes to an end this weekend.  If you haven’t already done so, please return your baby bottles to the back of church or bring them to the parish office this week.  Thanks so much to all that participated in this collection.

NEED SERVICE HOURS?  Junior high and high school students, get an early start on your service hours for next school year.  Dennis Kramer could use help this summer with various projects in school and on the parish grounds.  If you would like to schedule some time to help, please call Dennis at 441-1352, ext. 17.  

EXPOSITION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT     We are in need of 1 or 2 people to sit in adoration from 6:00pm – 6:30pm every Tuesday.  If you are interested, please contact Cathy Henry at 781-1815.

CCD TEACHERS NEEDED     for the 2009-2010 school year.  Candidates must be virtus trained or be willing to become virtus trained and must begin working toward Diocesan Religion Teacher certification.  Interested persons should contact David Kohrs at 859-653-4398 or kohrssd@fuse.net.

ST. CATHERINE TRAVEL GROUP   is planning a bus trip to New York , Philadelphia and Atlantic City September 19th – 25th.  The cost is $559 for 7 days and includes transportation, accommodations, 9 meals, guided tours and tips.  Call 781-3847 or 781-2232 for reservations or more information.

ATTENTION ADULTS     When did you have your last tetanus shot?  Summer is here and the possibility of injury greatly increases.  While we are on the subject, what other immunizations should you have at your age?  Immunization does not stop with childhood.  Pick up a flyer regarding adult immunization in the health ministry pamphlet rack at either of the side doors.  Have a healthy summer from the Parish Health Ministry.

IN OUR DIOCESE

THE SISTERS OF NOTRE DAME   need volunteers to work the booths at their annual 4th of July festival.  Proceeds from the festival help support their mission in the new Notre Dame Urban Education Center in Covington , the mission in Uganda , East Africa and their retired sisters.  They are also in need of household items, collectables, toys, and gift certificates for their silent auction and flea market.  If you would like to help, please contact Margie Schnelle at 392-8229 or email at mschnelle@sndky.org.

 

ST. PAUL PARISH FESTIVAL  will be held on July 17th & 18th.  The festival committee is selling raffle tickets to cover 1 year tuition ($4,250 value) at any catholic school.  The chances ae $20 each and only 500 tickets will be sold.  To purchase chances, email June Cahill at JRCahill@fuse.net or call at 371-0743. 

 

PETER’S PENCE COLLECTION   Next week our parish will take up the Peter’s Pence Collection.  This collection allows the Holy Father to cast the light of Christ upon the world by providing emergency assistance to those who need it most around the globe.  Please be generous in next week’s Peter’s Pence Collection.

 

ELSEWHERE

HEALING MASS   Come and experience Jesus’ healing power in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Wednesday, June 24th at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center.  Rosary begins at 6:30 p.m. , mass begins at 7:15 p.m.   There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.  Prayers for healing will be available after Mass, followed by Benediction. 

YARD SALE / FLEA MARKET    sponsored by the Knights of Columbus will be held on Saturday,  June 27th from 8am - 2pm , 11186 S. Licking Pike Alexandria KY.  Tables are available to rent for $15. Donations will be accepted.  Food and drinks served.  Call 859-442-5590 with any questions.

COME AND SEE WEEK   The Sisters of St. Benedict of Ferdinand , Indiana would like to invite single Catholic women 18-40 who have ever considered being a nun, to come live the life with us for a weeklong experience June 26th - July 2nd.
