DON ’T MISS THIS TALK !  Fr. Tom Euteneuer, an exorcist and the president of Human Life International, wants to talk about a hot topic in the church: Exorcism and Deliverance from the Devil! It’s the perfect topic for the Easter Season in which we celebrate Christ’s triumph over the forces of evil. Fr. Euteneuer will speak tonight, Sunday, May 3rd at 7:00pm at St. Catherine of Siena . INVITATION FROM THE ST. CATHERINE MEN'S GROUP   Our next meeting will be Monday, May 4th at 8:00 pm in McCrystal Hall. Our guest speaker will be Men's Group member Norb Wormald, who will help us usher in summer with his presentation on "Catfishing on the Ohio ". Come for the fish stories, stay for the fellowship, drinks, and snacks. (Open to all men of the Parish 21 or older.) We'll also be discussing preparations for the Friday, May 8th St Catherine Men's Group's Third Annual Cornhole, Euchre & Reds Game on the Big Wall Event (proud to be the longest title for an event in St. Catherine history).

MAY CROWNING    Please join us as we honor our Blessed Mother on Wednesday, May 6th with a May Crowning ceremony during the evening mass. (This is a change from the original time). We encourage all families to attend and celebrate Mary during the month of May. As is the tradition, second graders will be asked to wear their 1st Communion outfit for the ceremony. Also, we ask everyone to bring a small potted flower that will be planted later on the church grounds. Or, if you prefer, you can bring a cut flower. The Foresters will be sponsoring an ice cream social in McCrystal Hall following the celebration.

CORNHOLE/EUCHRE TOURNAMENT    The St. Catherine’s Men’s Group will be hosting the 3rd Annual Cornhole, Euchre & Reds Game on the Big Wall Event, Friday, May 8th from 6:30 PM - 11:30 PM in the Parish Center – Gym. This event is for all adults 21 or older (not just for men).  Come join us for an exciting night of cornhole, euchre and Reds game viewing.  Reservations strong suggested.  Contact Rob Hans at 441-5430 or rlhans@fuse.net to register your cornhole team and/or to signup for euchre.

ATTENTION 2009 HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS   St. Catherine of Siena wishes to honor each of you on your successful completion of twelve years of learning on Sunday, May 17th at the 9:00 a.m. mass, ollowed by a reception in McCrystal Hall.  If you are a graduate this year and do not receive a letter by the end of this week, please call the parish office.

CCD TEACHERS NEEDED     for the 2009-2010 school year.  Candidates must be virtus trained or be willing to become virtus trained and must begin working toward Diocesan Religion Teacher certification.  Interested persons should contact David Kohrs at 859-653-4398 or kohrssd@fuse.net.

UPCOMING NOMINATIONS   We are currently seeking nominations for positions on St. Catherine’s Board of Catholic Education.  Please consider the many gifts you or your fellow parishioners have to offer this group.  Place your nominations(s) in the box that will be located at the back of the church or contact Karen Camm at 781-3330 or k.camm@insightbb.com or Carol Little at 441-4070.  Nominees will be contacted and invited to attend a discernment meeting that will be held in May.

TWO WAYS TO HELP   Care Net Pregnancy Services receives a discount from Wal Mart to purchase diapers, cribs, and car seats.  If you would like to make a donation to Care Net, you could do so by giving them a Wal Mart gift card purchased from our Scrip Program. You will not only be helping out Care Net, but St. Catherine Parish as well.  If you are interested in making this type of donation, please contact Nancy Hassman at 760-3751.

DPAA PARISH REPORT    Throughout its 25 year history, the DPAA has supported ministries that tirelessly serve thousands of people in our Diocese.  Your kindness and compassion have enabled our Church to provide not only life’s material essentials but also critical spiritual and emotional assistance.  These works are done in Christ’s name through your pledge to the Appeal.  To date, 110 families in our parish have given pledges totaling $37,225.00.  May God bless you for your generosity.  If you haven’t made your gift, please do so today, or drop it in the offertory basket next weekend.

DAY OF RECOLLECTION   “Renew Your Spirit” on Sunday, May 17th with featured speaker, Msgr. William Cleves.  The afternoon of Spiritual Renewal, held at St. Charles Lodge, 600 Farrell Dr. , (off Kyles Lane ), Covington , will begin at 12:15 p.m.   Seating is limited and lunch will be provided, therefore reservations are required.  For information or reservations, contact Carolyn Drews at 331-3224 by ay 11th.  There is no charge for participation.

WE ARE ON A MISSION !     Dr. Dan Sheridan and staff will be going on a medical mission trip to Lynch, Kentucky to help host a two day free clinic, June 12th – 15th, offering medical screenings and personal services.  Would you like to help?  We are in need of personal care items such as: toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, deodorant, mouthwash, combs, brushes, razors and band aids; over the counter medications.  We are also accepting non-prescription READING glasses and financial contributions.  We will be collecting these donations at our office, 7827 Alexandria Pike, Alexandria .  You may drop them off between 8 am and 5 pm , Monday thru Thursday.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Leah Britt at 859-640-1563 or visit our website www.drdansheridan.com

SINGLES RETREAT   hosted by RIVER, will be held May 29th - 31st at the Moye Spiritual Life Center in Melbourne , Ky. The retreat begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and concludes at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Sunday after mass and a meal.  Focusing on issues relating to Christian singles today, topics include celebrating the single life, communication, living God’s will and self-evaluation.  The retreat is open to men and women ages 21 and up.  The fee is $95 per person, with a $20 deposit required by May 27th.  Checks should be made to RIVER and sent to P.O.
