EASTER MESSAGE FROM
THE PASTOR
In Mark=s Gospel, which we use this morning, the women come to the tomb early in the morning, and find the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. Sitting on the side of the tomb is a young man, who utters one of the funnier lines in scripture: ADo not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here.@ I would think amazement would be the least of my feelings in their situation; and yet, why should we be amazed? Jesus made blind people see, and deaf people hear, raised people from the dead and fed multitudes with a few fish and some loaves of bread. ANothing is impossible with God.@
Perhaps part of the Easter message is to hope for the impossible, to pray for miracles with some expectation of being heard. Perhaps we don=t hope for enough from God, or believe God can and will do wonders in our lives.
May God work powerfully in your
lives this Easter. May you see God=s
work and recognize God=s
hand. May you hope for the
impossible, expect the mighty, and believe in God=s
love for you. Fr. Stef
EASTER PRAYER
You should have been given a
prayer card along with your bulletin after
The prayer is in color for those
who want to pray it in a group. The
leader recites everything in blue, the rest respond with the lines in red, and
all pray the prayer in black together. May
this joyful prayer keep the joy of Easter alive in your hearts, and may our
uniting in prayer unite our parish more tightly in love.
May God bless you all.
Fr. Stef

“I would like to thank the fine group of men who were responsible
for doing such an awesome job this winter with the snow removal on the church
and school grounds. Tim Reynolds,
Ken Dorger, Al Boden, and Dave Mullen all braved the cold as well as the early
morning alarm clock each time it snowed, twice some days, to insure safe driving
and walking for the Parish. Thank
you all so much for all of your hard work!
Sincerely, Dennis Kramer
