STEWARDSHIP FAIR   The Stewardship Fair will be held this weekend, February 14th & 15th after all masses.  Be sure to stop by McCrystal Hall to check out all the ways you can become involved at St. Catherine Parish.    

NEW MEMBER WELCOME BREAKFAST   will be held this Sunday, February 15th after the 9:00 a.m. mass (during the Stewardship Fair).  Please stop by to welcome the newest members of our parish.  

COOKIES AND STORY TIME    Mark your calendars now for the cookies and story time, sponsored by the Foresters, on Friday, February 20th, from 6:30 - 8:00 . Children in grades K-3 are invited to cookies and story time. Younger children are welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Wear your favorite PJs, bring a warm blanket and join us for some wintry stories and a snack! 6:30-8:00 in the School Library.  

LOOKING FOR A NEW WAY TO PREPARE FOR LENT?    Then the women’s parish retreat may be just what you need.  Reservations are filling up fast, but there are still a few openings for the retreat on Feb 20 - 22 at Marydale Retreat Center .  All women of the parish are welcome and encouraged to attend.  If you are interested, please contact Jennie Cox at 441-4322.    

FIRST MEETING OF THE NEW MEN'S FELLOWSHIP GROUP will be Saturday morning, February 21st in the meeting room next to the library.  There will be coffee and donuts starting at 6:30 a.m. followed by a ONE HOUR fellowship. Answer the call format will be used.  The meeting will end at 7:55 AM for those who wish to attend the 8:00 AM Mass. FISH FRY VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED   St. Catherine’s Social Life Committee will again be sponsoring 2 Lenten Fish Frys on March 6th & 20th.  If you would like to volunteer for either or both days, please contact Mary Meyer at 291-7771.   

WOMEN’S CRHP WEEKEND     was inspirational and refreshing.  Women’s Team 3 would like to express appreciation to everyone who assisted with the weekend.  Thanks to Father Stef who gave guidance and support; the groups who provided food; the people who provided the set-up and clean-up; the parish staff who were cooperative; Dan Walsh who provided music; and, the community who prayed for the success of the week-end.  The Holy Spirit was with the team throughout the year of preparation and especially during the week-end.  Please continue to prayer for Team 4 as they begin their spiritual journey of renewal.

UPCOMING FISH FRY     St. Therese Parish is sponsoring a Fish Fry during Lent this year. Beginning Ash Wednesday and every Friday with the exception of March 20th & April 10th. Time 5 to 8 p.m. Dinner $6.75 consisting of Fried or Baked Cod, Macaroni & Cheese or Fries and Cole Slaw, Dessert. Cheese pizza by the slice may also be purchased. Come join a fun evening of food and socializing with old friends and neighbors. Hope to see you there!

JOB OPPORTUNITY - ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR   The Sisters of Notre Dame, located in Covington, KY, are currently seeking an experienced, part-time (approximately 25 hours /week) Activities Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and implement activities for the community members.  Activities will provide opportunities for enrichment, stimulation, enjoyment, and education. INTERESTED IN TRAVEL?    Fr. Joe Boschert will lead a tour to Niagara Falls/Toronto, Canada .  The tour will be a 5 day/4 night tour.  The tour will be from June 22nd - 26th, 2009 .  Cost is $429.00 per person.  Remember, to enter Canada or Mexico , you need to have a passport or a passport card.  The passport card is about half the cost of a passport, but it can only be used for Canada & Mexico .  If interested in the tour, please call Fr. KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION    for the Ft. Thomas school district will be held on Thursday, February 19th from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Registration will be held at each of the 3 elementary schools. Registration is not based on a first come, first served basis for the morning vs. afternoon sessions.  If requests exceed the class size limit, then a lottery will be held.  Please bring the child’s certified birth certificate, social security number and proof of residence to the registration.  If you have any questions, call the elementary school or (859)815-2011.

HIGHLANDS MIDDLE SCHOOL PRESENTS “SEUSSICAL, JR.”   Watch all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters come to life on stage including Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and all of the Whos of Whoville!  Performances will be on Thursday, February 19th thru  Saturday, February 21st at 7:00 pm; Sunday, February 22nd at 2:00 p.m. and Monday, February 23rd at 7:00 p.m.   All performances will be at the Performing Arts Center in Highlands High School .  Tickets cost $7 for students and $9 for adults and are RESERVED SEATING only. SAVE THE DATE - CASINO NIGHT - MARCH 21st     The Southgate Optimist Club presents CASINO NIGHT on Saturday, March 21st from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Southgate Community Center . The evening features a Texas Hold'em Tournament, Silent Auction, Blackjack, Big 6, Split the Pot, Pull Tabs and various casino type games. There will be NCAA Basketball Games on big screen TV so join us for a fun-filled evening. Cost is $10.00 at the door which includes your drinks and snacks for the evening.
