PLEASE TAKE NOTE
Due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, the deadline for the
November 29th bulletin will be Thursday, November
19th by
noon
. Please keep this in mind if you
have any submissions for that weekend’s bulletin.
ST. CATHERINE
SIENA
CLUB
Will be holding their monthly meeting today, Sunday, November
8th. If you are
looking for a good way to spend your Sunday afternoon, stop by McCrystal Hall at
12:30 p.m.
and join the fun! There will be
cards, food and friends.
HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES through
the Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Monday-Wednesday, November
16th, 17th 18th.
Assistance is needed in
transporting families in the IHN van to and from
Christ
Church
and the
Day
Center
in
Newport
, preparing a meal, hosting a meal and spending the night. This is a great way
for families and individuals to work together in service. New volunteers will be
paired with experienced helpers so don’t let inexperience keep you from
answering the call. Call Mindy Hoarston at 547-8415 for additional information
or see the sign-up posters at the
Rossford Avenue
exit of church.
STEWARDSHIP
OPPORTUNITY
Looking for a way to give back to your parish?
Consider being a greeter at a weekend mass.
The commitment is small, only one mass per month, but the rewards are
great! You will have the chance to
welcome fellow parishioners as well as visitors to St. Catherine as they enter
mass. What a great way to not only
meet new people, but to help bring the light of Christ to them as well.
This is an important ministry of our parish, as it lets everyone entering
our doors know that they are welcome and wanted here.
If you would like to be a part of this, contact Paul and Ann Basham at
781-0012.
SCRIP UPDATE Gift
cards for the following retailers are now available through the Scrip program:
Meijer, Gordon Food Service, Aeropostale, Dot’s,
Logan
’s Roadhouse, Cold Stone Creamery, Michael’s, and Overstock.com.
Not all of these cards are kept in stock, but they can be ordered.
With Christmas quickly approaching, keep the Scrip program in mind, not
only for gift-giving but for your shopping needs as well.
HAVE DINNER
AND
EARN
MONEY FOR ST.
CATHERINE
Buckhead Mountain Grill will be having a St. Catherine night on the
second Tuesday of the month, beginning this Tuesday, November 10th.
They will donate 20% of your check back to St. Catherine.
Mark you calendars for the other upcoming nights too: Thursday,
November 12th – Skyline
Night (
Highland
Heights
store only); Sunday, November 15th – Applebee’s
(
Highland
Heights
); Wednesday, November 18th, Papa
John’s (
Southgate
). Flyers for each night are
available on the St. Catherine website or you can pick them up in the school or
parish office. Our hope is that parishioners will be able to attend one of these
nights – this is an easy way to earn extra money for the parish and it gives
the chef in the family a night off!

TIME TALENT
AND
TREASURE MAILING
This week, you will receive a packet regarding the nature of the
Time, Talent, and Treasure program. The packet will contain a letter from Fr.
Stef, a pledge card and a time and talent form. Please reflect prayerfully upon
the gifts you can share with our parish community.
Everyone is called to return a portion of the gifts that God has given
you. Consider the amount of your
time, your talent and your treasure that you will share with our parish in the
coming year in gratitude for God’s gifts to you.
Please make a conscious effort to examine your current priorities, see
where the mission of our parish is placed within them.
Then, adjust your priorities, based upon you obligation to support the
work of the Lord.
