ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF THE PARISH This past May, the Board of Catholic Education
(BOCE) sent out a letter to school families informing them of costs to educate students at St. Catherine
School. As many of you are aware, the current financial situation at our parish is reflective of the
current state of our economy. Offertory collections have continued to decline over the past few years as
costs to operate the parish and fund our various ministries have increased. As a result, our school, which
is the largest ministry of the parish, and its funding resources have been carefully monitored over the
past several years. As the Board of Education and the Finance Committee begin working on the annual
budgeting process, there is once again the necessity to evaluate instituting a tuition program to sustain
the
operations of the school. We invite you to join us for a presentation on this Wednesday,
January
7th, after mass to review the information that we have collected in order to make a decision on the
financial
future of our school.
GREETERS NEEDED! If you are interested in becoming a greeter, please call Paul & Ann Basham
