IN OUR PARISH

SATURDAY EVENING SACRISTAN        We are in need of a sacristan for the 4:30 p.m. Mass on  Saturdays.  This is a very important job; the sacristan is responsible for most of the practical details of getting us ready for Mass, and a good sacristan frees me up to think about the things I need to think about.  The commitment is every Saturday.  If you think this would be something you would like to do, please speak with me.      Fr. Stef

COMMUNITY ROSARY PRAYER SERVICE      The rosary prayer service on this Tuesday, July 22nd, will be said for the intentions of Jim Deavy and Clare Rolf.  Jim suffered a serious brain injury last week and Clare was hospitalized on Wednesday.  If you are unable to attend, please remember to keep Jim, Clare and their families in your prayers.

“Thank you for welcoming Br. Henry Gaither, SC, to your parish and for giving him the opportunity to speak about the missionary work of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in English-speaking Africa .  The members of my congregation are grateful to your parishioners for their prayerful support and generous financial assistance. I ask that you continue to remember us in your prayers.  Be assured you are gratefully remembered in the prayers and Eucharistic liturgies of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.”  Sincerely, Br. Paul J. Hebert, SC

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED for Vacation Bible School 's  PreK-K Bible Study and 3-4 Bible Study teachers.  If interested please call Patty Chalk at 441-0560 or Heather Stuempel  at 781-6122.  Thank you.

STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITY    As part of the auditing process newly required by the diocese,  guidelines concerning how parishes count the money from the collection have been clarified.  We must have at least two money-counting teams (different people) in rotation.  We need three to five people who could count the money on Monday morning.  The only requirements are honesty and the abilities to count and record figures.  Please call Mary in the office if you would like to be part of a counting team.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIST TO GOD’S MESSAGES WHILE DRIVING     Would you like to share His messages with a friend or a shut-in?   Fr. Stef’s June homilies are now available on CD. They can be picked up in the parish office during the week or in the back of church after the weekend Masses.

ATTENTION HEALTH MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS   Please submit volunteer hours and committee name for June to Cheri Hunter by email at cheri_hunter2000@yahoo.com, phone at 781-4507, or leave a note in the box by the parking lot door.  If you have any unreported hours from other months, just submit those with the May hours.  The hours are reported to St. Elizabeth on a quarterly basis - so you are never too late to report hours.  Thanks again for your help in this matter.

BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG     Please remember to return your baby bottles to the collection boxes at the Rossford and Ft. Thomas Ave. entrances or the parish office. Thank you for helping Care Net Pregnancy Centers!
