BABY BOTTLE BOOMERANG FOR CARE NET PREGNANCY CENTERS: Please pick up a baby bottle at the Rossford exit on your way out of mass today, fill it with your spare change and return it to the drop box in church by June 29th.  All proceeds benefit CARE NET, a Christ centered organization existing to educate, support and empower people with the truth before, during and after an unplanned pregnancy, while uplifting the  sanctity of human life. Care Net's services include: Free Pregnancy Tests, 24 hour Hotline, Pregnancy Options Counseling, Abortion Facts and Procedure Information, Pregnancy Guidance and Parenting Instruction with a Mentor Mom, Adoption Counseling Referral, References for Pre-natal Medical Care and other Pregnancy Resources, Pregnancy and Infant Materials Support, Post Abortion Healing Services, Sexual Integrity Programs for individuals and couples. CARE NET has four centers in Northern Kentucky including one at NKU. Thank you for participating in this fun way to help CARE NET continue their important work.

READY, SET, CHARGE     We currently offer parishioners the opportunity to give their contribution to the parish via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) and are now making available another new way of making monthly contributions to the parish.  We are willing to offer the parish the opportunity to make their monthly contributions with either Mastercard or Visa.  We in no way are suggesting that anyone finance their parish contribution through the use of credit cards, however, some credit card companies offer incentives, rebates, etc…  This could possibly help you earn sky miles or a cashback bonus. Our goal in doing this is to make tithing more convenient for you.  If you have any questions about this, please contact Mary Brzinski in the parish office, 441-1352, ext. 14.

WE NEED YOU!     Bridge players needed to swell our shrinking groups.  You don’t have to be a “master”, but if you enjoy cards and having a good time, you are invited to join any of our 4 groups.  Also, if you are new to St. Catherine parish, it is a great way to meet some of your future friends.  Play is usually from September thru May.  We have a couples group, a men’s group, a ladies group that meets in the afternoon and a ladies luncheon group that meets the 4th Tuesday morning at Highland Country Club.  For more information, please call Rose Marie Dusing at 781-1828.  St. Catherine benefits from our playing.

IN OUR DIOCESE

DPAA UPDATE          We have received our final rebate check from the 2007 DPAA overage.  In total, St. Catherine received $10,291.63 from last year’s collection.  As of May 27th, the total pledged for 2008 is $58,340.59, which is $3,518.59 over our goal.  All monies over our goal this year will be used for much needed capital improvements.
