Some of you have remarked that the budget figure in the
bulletin is not always the same. We
used to take our yearly budget figure, divide it by 52, and that was the budget
number presented in the bulletin each week.
The problem with this approach is that in January, or other months when
contributions are usually low, it appears that we are under budget expectations;
and in December, or other months when contributions normally rise, it appears
that we are above budget expectations.
What we are trying to do is show a budget figure, which more accurately
reflects budget expectations for each month.
PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR SICK
Don Baumann, Rose Schutzman and Joan Deitschle.
Also, remember our parishioners in nursing homes as well as those
confined to their homes in your prayers.

IN YOUR MARCH/APRIL ENVELOPE PACKET
there was an envelope for Easter Flower Memorials.
If you wish to remember a loved one during this Easter Season, please
indicate the name of those you want remembered on the envelope and put in the
collection basket. The names of all
remembered will be compiled in the Memorial Book and placed in the back of
Church during the Easter season.
LENTEN
SERVICE PROJECT If you did not get a Lenten bag or are able to fill another
one, please take one
from the back of Church. Fill the bag with the items on the list and
return it to the Baptistry by 8:00am on Good Friday for distribution.
Please be sure to leave the colored list on the bag so that we know where the
items go. The agencies are colored coded and many have specific needs.
Once again we will be distributing the items on Good Friday so mark your
calendars and plan to help. This is an important St. Catherine tradition.
The agencies really depend on us. Let’s see if we can fill all the bags
available.
BROKEN, FORGIVEN, HEALED, AND REDEEMED
This is the journey through Fr. Eric Knapp's abusive childhood to
transformation and redemption in Christ. Fr. Knapp is the charismatic and
well-loved Pastor at St. Xavier church in downtown Cincinnati. His witness held
today, Sunday, March 16th at 7:00 pm in church is a perfect
way to meditate on the "Passion" of our Lord and to take heart in our
sufferings because Good Friday is always followed by a glorious Easter!
Questions call Sharon 441-1069 or Terri 441-3438.
HEARTFUL QUILTERS Whether you are a sewer or not, be sure to join us Monday, March 17th from 6:30 until 9:30 in McCrystal Hall for the next Heartful Quilters gathering. We will be finishing a few quilts we already started while hopefully beginning some new quilts. We have a few ladies who like to knit and crochet; please come and join them if you would like. Any fabric donations would be greatly appreciated! Call Pat at 781-2711 or Betsy at 441-3463 with questions.
COME AND PRAY WITH JESUS in the
Garden of Gethsemani on Holy Thursday evening.
At the conclusion of mass, Fr. Stef will lead us to the school library
where the Holy Eucharist will be in exposition until midnight. Please join together as our community watches with Jesus,
prays through His suffering and waits in anticipation for his resurrection.
There is a sign up sheet at the Rossford exit.
MEMORIAL MASS There will be a memorial mass held for Anne Zeleznik, mother of Maryanne Zeleznik, on Saturday, March 29th at 8:00 a.m. Anne passed away in February at her home in Lorain, Ohio after a long illness. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
PARISH CAMPING TRIP
Mark your calendars now
for the 2nd annual Parish Camp Out at Versailles State Park, Friday,
June 27th - Sunday June 29th.
Last year we had nearly 100 parishioners gather for a weekend of fun and
games. Do not let ballgames keep you from this exciting event. The Campground is
approximately 50 minutes away from St. Catherine. You can camp with us and sneak
out for your Saturday afternoon ballgame. Visit the website www.in.gov/dnr/parklake
to make your reservations. We will be in Campground A with Electric. The
following spots are ideal sites 1-17, 20-28, and 64-69. Please call Tom or
Caroline Kaelin at 630-3217 or Ann or Mark Farney at 441-6240 if you plan on
attending.
SUMMER FESTIVAL 2008 is in the early planning stages.
We are in need of a chairperson for the kids games area.
If you are willing to help out, please call Bob Hassman at 781-4666.
HOMILIES ON CD
Fr. Stef’s homilies from the Lenten Series part 1 are now available
and can be picked up in the back of church or in the parish office.
ATTENTION
HEALTH MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS Please
submit volunteer hours and committee name for February to Cheri Hunter by
email at cheri_hunter2000@yahoo.com,
phone at 781-4507, or leave a note in the box by the parking lot door.
If you have any unreported hours from other months, just submit those

- so you are never too late to report hours.
Thanks again for your help in this matter.
SCRIP UPDATE Be sure to purchase Honey Baked Ham scrip for your family's Easter dinner! For every $10 you purchase, St. Catherine gets $1.20 back! Also, we now have $5 Frisch's gift cards in stock. These are great for gifts!
CHRISM MASS The Most Reverend Roger J. Foys invites you to attend the celebration of the Chrism mass to be held at the Cathedral on Tuesday, March 18th at 7:00 p.m. This mass is the only occasion when as many Catholics as possible celebrate the Eucharist together with their priests, and representatives from every facet of Catholic life. We come together as one church to celebrate one Eucharist. Please join us.

Prayer
for GOVERNMENT LEADERS
God of power and might, wisdom and justice, through you authority is rightly administered, laws are enacted, and judgment is decreed. Assist with your spirit of counsel and fortitude the President and other government leaders of these United States. May they always seek the ways of righteousness, justice and mercy. Grant that they may be enabled by your powerful protection to lead our country with honesty and integrity. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
