IN OUR PARISH

WE WELCOME    to our parish family through baptism:  Sophie Tate Roll, daughter of Meaghan Roll& Donald Dillon; and Emily Michele Kirst, daughter of Geoffrey & Jennifer.  May they always know God’s blessings.

ATTENTION EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION   If you are scheduled to minister at a mass, please go up immediately after the sign of peace.  By doing this, the mass flows more smoothly and there is less confusion about whether or not there are enough ministers.

NO PLANS FOR NEXT SUNDAY AFTERNOON?   Then grab your friends, invite your neighbors, shuffle your cards and join the St. Catherine Siena Club at 12:30 p.m. in McCrystal Hall.  Make some new friends, reconnect with old friends, enjoy good food and have a great time!

LOOKING FOR AN EASIER WAY TO FULFILL YOUR OFFERTORY COMMITMENT? Having a hard time remembering to bring your donation each Sunday? Want to give back to God from your surplus instead of your leftovers? EFT may be the answer to your dilemma. Your offertory commitment may be fulfilled by having a monthly withdrawal from your checking account through  Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). The withdrawal can take place either on the 15th or the 30th of the month. If you would like more information, please contact Mary Brzinski in the parish office 441-1352 extension 14 or email at mbrzinski@stcatherineofsiena.org.

2008 RETIREMENT FUND FOR RELIGIOUS    Today, Motherhouses that were once densely populated by women or men preparing for or engaging in ministries, have hallways filled with wheelchairs, chapels reconfigured to accommodate those who can no longer walk to mass, and entire floors converted to skilled nursing units.  Properties and buildings acquired fifty or more years ago do not meet the needs of today’s aging populations.  The Church would be greatly impoverished without the witness of these women and men religious. Yet over 19,000 religious communities have less than 20% of the amount of money they need to provide health care and lives of dignity for these retired women and men.  Your gift next weekend to the Retired Religious Collection will “Share in the Care” and express your appreciation for all of these women and men who have given so much to God’s people.  Please give generously.  To learn more, visit www.retiredreligious.org.
