St. Catherine Players,
ATTENTION
ALL MEMBERS OF THE PARISH This
past May, the Board of Catholic Education (BOCE) sent out a letter to school
families informing them of costs to educate students at St. Catherine School.
As many of you are aware, the current financial situation at our parish
is reflective of the current state of our economy.
Offertory collections have continued to decline over the past few years
as costs to operate the parish and fund our various ministries have increased.
As a result, our school, which is the largest ministry of the parish, and its
funding resources have been carefully monitored over the past several years.
As the Board of Education and the Finance Committee begin working on the
annual budgeting process, there is once again the necessity to evaluate
instituting a tuition program to sustain the operations of the school. We invite
you to join us for a presentation on Wednesday,
January 7th, after mass to review the information that we have collected in
order to make a decision on the financial future of our school.
PLEASE
TAKE NOTE The mass on New
Year's Eve will be at

RETIRE The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) is an opportunity for women and men in
their 50's, 60's and 70's to offer their talents, skills, wisdom, and life
experience in direct service to the needs of people who are poor.
In return for a commitment of 16 hours a week for a year (September - July) with a local service site, the IVC provides guidance for personal
reflections and prayerful conversation with fellow IVC volunteers.
Together we hope to see the face of Christ a little more clearly and
contribute to the transformation of the world.
The benefits are priceless! For
additional information please call the Cincinnati IVC Director, Sam Schloemer at
(513)608-5551 or email at sschloemer@ivcusa.org.
