My Christmas greeting to you this year is heavily influenced by the Great
Antiphons, which the Church prays during the last week of Advent.
May our Blessed Lord,
the Wisdom of God, bring you to judge well the things of this earth;
Leader of the House of
the Root of Jesse, return soon and deliver you from every evil and sadness;
Key of David, free you from every type of captivity and darkness;
the Dawning Light, enlighten you with His truth;
King of the Nations, save you, whom He created;
Emmanuel, be with you all your days, and save you, whom He loves.
May you know God’s many blessings this Christmastime,
magnifying your joys and lessening your sorrows.

RETIRE The Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) is an opportunity for women and men in
their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s to offer their talents, skills, wisdom, and life
experience in direct service to the needs of people who are poor.
In return for a commitment of 16 hours a week for a year (September –
July) with a local service site, the IVC provides guidance for personal
reflections and prayerful conversation with fellow IVC volunteers.
Together we hope to see the face of Christ a little more clearly and
contribute to the transformation of the world.
