IN OUR PARISH

OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY   is extended to the family and friends of Greg Thiel whose funeral was held here last week. Please remember Greg and his family in your prayers.

EXTENDED HOURS FOR EUCHARISTIC ADORATION   On this Tuesday, November 4th, which is election day, we will have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from immediately following 8:00 a.m. mass until 8:30 p.m.   If you would like to sign up for a time, please contact Cathy Henry at 781-1815.  Our hope is that while people are in McCrystal Hall voting, someone will be in church praying for them to make the right choice.  Please make an effort to stop in church sometime during the day or evening, even if just for 15 minutes.

ST. CATHERINE SIENA CLUB   will be meeting next Sunday, November 9th, in McCrystal Hall at 1:00 p.m.   Stop by for some good food and good fun with a great group of people.  If you’ve never been to a meeting, what’s stopping you? Come and see what the Siena Club is all about - you’ll be glad you did!

PARISH NIGHT POT LUCK DINNER    All parishioners are invited to come to McCrystal Hall for a parish pot luck dinner after this Wednesday evening mass.  Barbeque sandwiches will be provided by the Foresters and everyone is asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share.  Join us for an evening of good food and fun.

HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE can lead to stroke!  Women of the parish, encourage your husband to come and follow his blood pressure readings monthly after mass.  Nurses will be available after all masses this weekend.

STEWARDSHIP FAIR   will be held next weekend in McCrystal Hall after all masses.  Stop down and learn about the many ways you can become involved  with your parish.

HELP FURTHER BEAUTIFY MCCRYSTAL HALL    Plans are currently underway to paint the ceiling in McCrystal Hall on the weekend of December 6th & 7th.  There are many ways in which to help out with this project.  We need volunteers to do the actual painting, the prep work and cleanup, as well as donating supplies – rollers, drop cloths, poles, etc.  If you can help out in any way, please contact Charles Dewald at 291-3053 or 7fingers@fuse.net.

THE ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS FAIR IS BACK!  The parish is planning the Alternative Christmas Fair for November 15th & 16th after all masses.  People attending the fair will be able to make donations to one of six agencies in a friend or family member's name.  Please join us in McCrystal Hall.  This is a great opportunity to improve the quality of life for persons locally through your donations.

THE WORSHIP COMMITTEE   is introducing a new way to remember and honor a loved one while enlivening our Church.  Floral arrangements can be ordered and placed on the altar to commemorate a specific date or event.  For example, you may wish to order flowers for a 25th wedding anniversary or a loved one’s birthday.  We will announce in the bulletin the donor and event if desired.  To simplify the process, the florist will deliver the arrangement to church and bill you directly.  Call Pat Brennan at 781-2711 to schedule a date.  Thank you!

LAST CHANCE TO HEAR ROSALIND MOSS    international speaker, frequent radio guest on Catholic Answers Live and a co-host on EWTN. Rosalind will be giving her last scheduled talk for Catholic Answers at St. Catherine on Sunday, November 16th from 6-8:30pm .  She was a convert from Judaism and an Evangelical Protestant before making the journey home to the Catholic faith in 1995.  Don't miss Rosalind Moss as she shares her faith journey with love and humor.  Tickets are $10.  Seating is limited and will be on a first come basis.  For information and reservations call 859-441-3438 or email praiseandworship@fuse.net
