ST. CATHERINE SIENA CLUB    will be meeting today, Sunday, October 12th at 12:30 p.m. in McCrystal Hall. Be sure to stop in for good food, good friends and good times!  

FLU SHOTS   will be given on Saturday, October 25th after the 4:30 mass and Sunday, October 26th between the 9:00 and 11:30 masses.  

PLAYERS VARIETY SHOW   The St. Catherine Players theatre group invites you to a night of song, dance, dessert, and more! As a warm-up for our 2009 season you're invited to come and share your talents. Never performed with us before?  Now is your chance to shine. PARISH FEST   It’s that time of year again!  Be sure to mark your calendar for Sunday, October 19th and join fellow parishioners for an evening of food, music, cornhole and most of all fun!  We will again meet in the lower parking lot from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Bring your family along with a side dish or dessert to share.  There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, brats and metts as well as soft drinks and beer – all just 3 for a dollar!  Don’t miss this great opportunity to enjoy an evening out with your parish family!  

WOMEN OF THE PARISH   The St Catherine Men's Group invites you to be wined, dined, and entertained at our 5th Annual Women's Dinner on Saturday, November 1st at 7:00 pm in McCrystal Hall. Look for the flyer in the bulletin or in the back of Church to register for this unique dining experience

UPCOMING PRAISE AND WORSHIP     Rosalind Moss, international speaker, frequent radio guest on Catholic Answers Live and a co-host on EWTN, to speak at St. Catherine of Siena in Ft. Thomas , KY on Sunday, November 16th  from 6-8:30pm .  She was a convert from Judaism and Evangelical Protestant before making the journey home to the Catholic faith in 1995.  Don’t miss Rosalind Moss as she shares her faith journey with love and humor.  Tickets are $10 and checks should be made payable to St. Catherine of Siena . AUTHENTIC, HOMEMADE, ITALIAN SPAGHETTI DINNER    will be held at St. Thomas Cafeteria on Sunday, October 19th from 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.   Prices are: adult portion - $6.50; Child/Senior portion - $4.50.  Carryout will also be available.  Sponsored by the St. Thomas 8th graders.  

PUMPKIN PATCH    sponsored by Newport Central Catholic.  Please join us on the NCC Hill for a Pumpkin Patch on Sunday, October 26th from 1:00 - 5:00pm .  There will be pony rides, face painting, pumpkins for sale, crafts, corn hole, treats, candy, and more! All proceeds will go toward the foreign exchange program at NCC and specifically the spring Denmark trip.  Thanks for your support!

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC     is hosting its inaugural fall event, The Winners’ Circle, on Saturday, October 25th from 6:30 p.m - 11:30 p.m. , at the Syndicate Restaurant in Newport .  The evening will include a night of fun with hors d’oeuvres, dinner, drinks, live music featuring the Devoto-Webster Band and plenty of live and silent auction items, raffles, etc. Proceeds from this event will be used to enhance the already excellent Catholic education offered at NCC, by providing the best learning environment with the most up-to-date tools needed to educate our students.  In addition, monies raised will benefit the NCC Education Endowment Fund. The cost is $75 per person which includes hors d’oeuvres, dinner, drinks, entertainment and a great night to socialize.  Sponsorship tables are also available.  For reservations or more information please contact the NCC Development Office at (859) 2920001.  Reservations are due Friday, October 17th.

BAILEY'S BENEFIT     A benefit for Bailey Hemingway will be held at St. Pius on Friday, October 24th from 7pm until 12am .  Bailey was born in June with a heart defect known as Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome which means the left side of her heart did not develop.  Admission tickets are available for $20 per person.  The evening will feature dinner, beer, wine & sodas, music, a major raffle - 1st prize is a week stay at a condo in Anna Maria Island in Florida along with 4 airline tickets, 2nd prize is a Nintendo Wii & the 3rd prize in an Ipod.  Bailey's parents are Steve & Beth (Kaufman) Hemingway.  All proceeds will go to the Bailey Hemingway Benefit Fund to help with her medical care.  If you would like to purchase either Admissions Tickets or Major Raffle Tickets for $5 each or to give a donation please email Anne Kaufman at annecib@fuse.net or call 859-781-3535.

GOLF OUTING     sponsored by St. Therese Holy Name/Athletic Club to be held on Sunday, October 26th at Hickory Sticks Golf Course. There will be a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start/scramble. Cost is $80.00 per golfer and includes a hot lunch and dinner ($70 if paid and registered on or before Friday, October 3). Ladies and Seniors 60+ $60.00 ($50.00 if paid before October 3). A NIGHT OF BUNCO    presented by Sts. Peter and Paul PTC on Saturday, November 8th from 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. in their Social Center . Cost is $25 and includes food and drinks. BISHOP BROSSART RETIREMENT TRIBUTE TO PRINCIPAL TOM SEITHER   Bishop Brossart High School will host its special “Tom Seither Tribute” from 7:00 pm - 12 Midnight on Saturday, November 22nd at the Marquise Banquet Center in Wilder. The BBHS Principal is retiring after this school year following 43 years of service to BBHS and the Diocese of Covington. The $75.00 reservation per person includes cocktails, dinner, and refreshments. The event also features live and silent auctions, entertainment, and a Grand Raffle.
