SIENA CLUB MEMBERS    This month, the Siena Club will meet today, January 20th in McCrystal Hall.  The February meeting will also be on the third Sunday, February 17th.  Be sure to mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on the fun!

THE MEN’S GROUP'S BURNING OF THE GREENS   has been moved to Friday, January 25th at 7:30 p.m. (We changed the date so we wouldn't hurt viewership or profits for the Super Bowl.) Bring your family for hot chocolate, apple cider, roasted marshmallows, and a flaming good time in the Bodens' volleyball court next to the Parish Center.

CALLING ALL AGES       We would like to start a new group at St. Catherine Parish called the HeARTful Quilters. We are going to gather together once a month and make baby blankets, quilts and lap quilts for newborns or those in rest homes. If you can sew or would like to learn, you are invited to join us this Monday, January 21st  from 6:30 - 9:30 pm in McCrystal Hall for our first quilting/blanket making event. Even if you are "needle and thread challenged" we can use help cutting material, ironing material, and other helpful jobs will be available.  If you do not drive at night but would like to come, please contact Betsy at 441-3463 or Pat at 781-2711 for a ride.  We would like as many people as possible to come and help. We ask that everyone bring some supplies to get us started. We will need things like material, needles, thread, portable sewing machines, scissors, iron and ironing boards. Hope to see you there!

DON’T MISS THE BOAT     The 3rd Annual Love Boat sets sail for Hawaii on February 2, 2008, and we're expecting a sell out crowd! Be sure to respond to the invite you received in the mail with your reservations and raffle ticket order prior to January 23 to take advantage of the early registration fee. Come join us for a night of fun, fellowship, and fund-raising to benefit St. Catherine, and bring your friends along! For more information, please contact Shannon Walz at 441-5999 or Ellen Wira at 441-0374.

SAVE THE DATE   The next Women's CRHP weekend is February 9th & 10th and is open to all women of the parish.  The next Men's CRHP Weekend will be February 16th & 17th and is open to all men of the parish.  Prayerfully consider this opportunity to renew yourself and the parish.  Anyone interested or for more information please contact Rob Hans (men) at 441-5430 or rlhans@fuse.net or Sheila Carroll (women) at 491-8771.

PARISH CLEAN UP DAY   We're going to try this again.  We want our church spic-n-span for Easter, right???  This day is meant to take care of the things that are not on the regular cleaning list of our wonderful group of monthly volunteers. The date has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 1st. We can make it a party... bring the kids. (This is a great opportunity for service hours). We will start at 9am and have to finish before 3pm, due to mass and a wedding. Why not get your family and friends together, come on up to church and show off your amazing cleaning talents!

ATTENTION HEALTH MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS   Please submit volunteer hours and committee name for December to Cheri Hunter by email at cheri_hunter2000@yahoo.com, phone at 781-4507, or leave a note in the box by the parking lot door.  If you have any unreported hours from other months, just submit those with the December hours.  The hours are reported to St. Elizabeth on a quarterly basis  - so you are never too late to report hours.  Thanks again for your help in this matter.

ATTENTION ALL MEN AGE 40-50    Every 45 seconds an American suffers a stroke. Do you know your blood pressure numbers?  They should be under 140 for the first number and under 80 for the second number. Let us check your blood pressure monthly after mass in the Usher's Room.
Warmest regards from St. Catherine Health Ministry
