THANK-YOU
In my list of thank-you’s I missed thanking Tom Kaelin for refurbishing
our crib figures. They look like
new, and really dressed up our manger scene.
Thank you, Tom.
While we are thanking people, Rose Marie Dusing is responsible for our new drapes leading into the sacristy conference room. They are wonderful. If you see Rose Marie, please add your gratitude to mine.

SCRIP
ANNOUNCEMENT
Gail Williams and Kathy Saalfeld have decided to turn over the reins of the
Scrip program. Gail began the
program for us back in the mid 1990's, when it was just Kroger and Johnny’s
Toys and one other vendor. Five
years ago, when we expanded the program to what it is today, Kathy joined her.
Kathy and Gail have put a lot of work into Scrip, and have helped the
parish tremendously. I cannot thank them enough for their work, and I hope you
will thank them as well. Catherine Ampfer and Jenny Cox have agreed to take over
the program. They should have the
reins by mid-January, and I thank them for their willingness to commit
themselves to such a task. If you
are not a Scrip user, why not start? Kroger
and Remke, all the major gas vendors, restaurants, retail stores, we have it
all. It is a tremendous and
extremely easy way of helping the parish financially. Call the office or stop in
to get started. Tell ‘em Stef
sent you and get a free smile from the friendliest parish secretaries in the
diocese. Fr.
Stef
Thanks
to all who participated in and made the offertory campaign successful. We
have 393 families who have pledged and $856,899 in total pledges. We
sincerely thank you for answering God's call to action in response to the gratitude you have for
God's abundant gifts.
SERVER

THE MEN’S GROUP'S BURNING OF THE GREENS

Super Bowl.) Bring your family for hot chocolate, apple cider, roasted
marshmallows, and a flaming good time in the Bodens' volleyball court next to
the Parish Center.
CALLING ALL AGES
We would like to start a new group at St. Catherine Parish called the
HeARTful Quilters. We are going to gather together once a month and make baby
blankets, quilts and lap quilts for new borns or those in rest homes. If you can
sew or would like to learn, you are invited to join us on Monday, January 21,
2008 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm in McCrystal Hall for our first quilting/blanket making
event. Even if you are "needle and thread challenged" we can use help
cutting material, ironing material, and other helpful jobs will be available.
If you do not drive at night but
would like to come, please contact Betsy at 441-3463 or Pat at 781-2711 for a
ride. We would like as many people
as possible to come and help. We ask that everyone bring some supplies to get us
started. We will need things like material, needles, thread, portable sewing
machines, scissors, iron and ironing boards. Hope to see you there!
DON’T MISS THE BOAT
The 3rd Annual Love Boat sets sail for Hawaii on February 2, 2008,

night of fun, fellowship, and fund-raising to benefit St. Catherine, and bring
your friends along! For more information, please contact Shannon Walz at
441-5999 or Ellen Wira at 441-0374.
