 I would like to extend a large thank-you to those of you who made our festival such a successful event.  In particular, thank you to Bob Hassman and Tammy Schroder who provided the leadership this year.  The festival preparation includes many long hours and some headache.  If you see them, please thank them.  Fr. FAMILIES WITH INCOMING FIRST GRADERS    Parish families with children entering the first grade of the public school system for 2007 -2008 should register those children for the CCD program as soon as possible.  Information and registration forms may be downloaded from the parish website.  Questions should be directed to David Kohrs at kohrssd@fuse.net or 441-1069.

CO-TEACHERS NEEDED  Our CCD program is in search of one or two "on-fire" parishioners to co-instruct fourth graders in the 2007 - 2008 year.  Interested individuals should possess love of Catholicism, children, and a willingness to grow.  After prayerful consideration, contact David Kohrs at kohrssd@fuse.net or 441-1069 to open this door of opportunity and step out in faith!

 FESTIVAL FOLLOW UP MEETING    will be held on Thursday, June 28^th, 7:00 p.m. at Bob Hassman’s home.  All committee chairpersons are asked to attend. 

NEW HOMILY CD'S AVAILABLE    Fr. Stef's homilies from the end of April through Pentecost are available in the parish office and in the back of church. 

FIRST COMMUNION PICTURES AND DVD'S     are now available for pick-up in the Church office Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm.  Any questions contact David Kohrs 859-441-1069. 

As we say good-bye to Doug Smith as Music Director, we remember with gratitude the many years that Doug was here.  For more than twenty years - through five pastors - Doug shared his remarkable talent with us and improved our liturgies and other services.  Thank you Doug.

IN OUR DIOCESE

THE ST. THERESE SUMMER FESTIVAL   will be held on Friday, June 29^th and Saturday, June 30^th from 6:00 - 11:00 p.m.  Please plan to attend our weekend of fun with friends and family. We will have many games, raffles and activities for all ages to enjoy.  For everyone's enjoyment we will have an expanded variety of food available at the grill both nights.  There will be a major raffle, 1st prize $2,000.00, 2nd prize $1,000.00 and five $100.00 winners.  A free shuttle bus will be available from 6:00 to 10:30 both nights from the South Hill Medical Center located at 525 Alexandria Pike in Southgate.

THE SISTERS OF NOTRE DAME   would like to invite you to their 85^th anniversary 4^th of July Festival and Social.  It will take place at St. Joseph Heights in Park Hills from 2:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  Great food, lots of games for children and adults, music, many raffles including our grand raffle, silent auction and flea market and lots more!  For more details, visit our website at www.sndky.org.

SINGLES RETREAT     RIVER, a group of single adult Catholics from Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and surrounding areas, is hosting a singles retreat, July 21^st - 22^nd, at the Moye Spiritual Life Center in Melbourne, Ky. The center is located on the grounds of St. Anne's Convent. The retreat begins at 9 a.m. Saturday morning and ends at 4 p.m. on Sunday after Mass and a meal. Focusing on issues relating to singles today, the retreat is open to men and women ages 21 and up. The cost is $85 per person. Financial assistance is available if necessary. PETER'S PENCE COLLECTION   Next week, our parish will participate in this collection for the Works of the Holy Father.  Please join in solidarity with the more than one billion Catholics worldwide in providing immediate emergency and disaster relief to our brothers and sisters through the Pope's special appeal.  Thank You.

ELSEWHERE

HEALING MASS   Come and experience Jesus' healing power in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Wednesday, June 27^th.  Rosary is at 6:30 p.m. and Mass is at 7:15 p.m.  There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and prayers for healing will be available after Mass, followed with Benediction.  Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, 5440 Moeller Ave., Norwood, Oh.  Join us as we give thanks and praise to God for all of our spiritual blessings and we continue to ask for healing, conversion, peace and unity for our lives, as well as for our families, communities, and our nation.

LEAPS AND BOUNDS SUMMER CAMP     The Campbell County YMCA will be hosting two week-long camps for children with disabilities.  The first camp is July 2^nd - July 6^th (off July 4^th) and the second is July 16^th - 20^th.  Cost is $90 for the first week and $100 for the second week.   Any school-aged child who has a mental or physical disability and is self-sufficient with minimal assistance is eligible.  For more information, contact the YMCA at 781-1814.
