2007 SUMMER FESTIVAL
We wanted
to thank each and everyone involved in our summer festival.
It was a huge success both financially and in bringing unity to our
parish. Special thanks to Chris
& Julie Dupont for the golf outing, Dan Walsh for the outdoor concert, and
Tim Reynolds and crew for setup and cleanup. Thanks to the sponsors, volunteers,
toy donations, and booth chairs. There are too many names to mentions, but you
are not forgotten. Please say a

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY Interfaith Hospitality Network needs volunteers for our next rotation on June 25th, 26th, and 27th. The sign up poster is at the Rossford Avenue exit of church beginning June 9. CAMP ALL STAR offered by Catholic Social Services. Campers have fun doing hands-on activities while learning skills for making new friends, controlling anger, dealing with bullying and feeling better about themselves. Camps are offered for children entering grades 3, 4 and 5 at Catholic Social Services, 3629 Church Street, Covington. They are also in need of high school (10th –12th) or college volunteers to help staff with Camp All Star. Must be dependable and able to work entire week. Service hours will be given. There will be a one-hour mandatory orientation meeting.

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC varsity cheerleaders will be having a yard sale at NCC on Saturday, June 23rd from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help pay for cheerleading camp.
MARY DALE SUMMER RETREATS The first retreat will be held June 22nd - 24th. This weekend will provide you an opportunity to immerse yourself in an exploration of the lively, stimulating and sometimes challenging teachings of Fr. Anthony De Mello, S.J. The retreat director will be nationally renowned Retreat Master, Fr. Jim Dolan, S.J. His theme will be “Jesus’ Favorite Prayer – Visiting”. The program will include meditations, group sharing and free time for rest and relaxation. The suggested offering of $145.00 includes two overnights and 5 meals. There will also be a men’s silent retreat held August 24th – 26th. The retreat director will be Fr. Phillip DeVous. His theme will be “Living in the Light of Christ: The Luminous Mysteries of Salvation”. Check-in begins at 5pm Friday evening and concludes at approximately noon on Sunday. THE ST. THERESE SUMMER FESTIVAL will be held on Friday, June 29th and Saturday, June 30th from 6:00 - 11:00 p.m. Please plan to attend our weekend of fun with friends and family. We will have many games, raffles and activities for all ages to enjoy. For everyone’s enjoyment we will have an expanded variety of food available at the grill both nights. There will be a major raffle, 1st prize $2,000.00, 2nd prize $1,000.00 and five $100.00 winners. A free shuttle bus will be available from 6:00 to 10:30 both nights from the South Hill Medical Center located at 525 Alexandria Pike in Southgate.

SAVE THE DATE St Charles Care Center is hosting their first Golf Outing on August 30th, at Twin Oaks Golf Course in Latonia. There will be a shotgun Start, Best Ball Scramble. The cost is $85 per Person, which includes 18 holes, cart, lunch, buffet dinner, beer and soft drinks. Prizes and dinner immediately following golf. 9th ANNUAL NORTHERN KY/FT. THOMAS FINE ARTS FESTIVAL A showcase for local and regional artists and musicians. Original artwork ranging from paintings, pottery, sculpture, jewelry, photography and beyond will be for show and sale in Tower Park on Sunday, June 24th from noon – 6:00 p.m. Event activities include live music by featured local acts, performances by SMA Cloggers, children’s art and music workshops conducted by local artists throughout the day.
