IN
OUR PARISH
ST. CATHERINE’S FEAST DAY CELEBRATION To celebrate, there will be a talk with a reception afterward today, Sunday, April 29th at 7:00 p.m. For the talk, Fr. Stef will discuss/explain some of the architectural details of our church building and worship space. For instance, why is there a crown of thorns over the worship space? Why does it have hearts and fleur-de-lis on it? Why did the architect choose the saints he did for the back window? After the talk we will gather downstairs for dessert and coffee. We envision it as a kind of pot-luck dessert affair. Bring your favorite dessert and let=s make something of our patroness feast day.
MAY CROWNING AND ICE CREAM SOCIAL
will be held on Wednesday, May 2nd at 7:00 p.m.
Please bring a flower for the Procession. May Crowning is sponsored
by the Charismatic Prayer Group. There will be an ice cream social immediately
following in McCrystal Hall sponsored by the Foresters. Hope to see everyone
there!
INSPIRATIONAL HOMILIES ON CD Listen to God's message as you drive or share his message with a shut-in or friend. The homilies from Holy Week and Easter are now available on CD and can be picked up in the back of church or in the parish office.
PARISH DAY OF SERVICE will be on next Sunday, May 6th after 11:30 mass. Come to mass in your work clothes, and begin working after enjoying lunch provided by the Foresters or just come up around 12:30. Please bring tools, rakes, shovels, brooms, as well as cleaning supplies, buckets, cleaner, rags, etc. We will be planting flowers, raking, painting, cleaning, and dusting inside and out. Hope to see you all there for a fun and productive day!
ST. CATHERINE PTO FLOWER SALE will be held this Tuesday, May 1st from 9am-1pm and Wednesday, May 2nd from 12pm-4pm at the Fort Thomas Florist. Please stop by and purchase your spring and summer flowering plants and mulch. While you are there, pick up a flat of flowers to help beautify our church grounds on the Parish Day of Service, May 6th.
HANGING BASKETS will be sold after the 4:30pm mass on Saturday, May 12th and the 9:00 and 11:30 masses on Sunday, May 13th. This is another perfect opportunity to brighten your home or pick up a gift for Mom on Mother’s Day! All proceeds from both of these sales will benefit St. Catherine’s Church. Volunteers are still needed to help with both sales. Please contact Kelly Frost at 441-0778 or kfrostky@fuse.net for more information.

PARISH ANNUAL APPEAL Christ
has no body now on Earth but yours; no hands but yours; no feet but yours. Yours is the body through which He is able to continue doing
good; yours are the hands with which He can bless people; yours are the hearts
through which He can bring comfort and love; and yours are the voices through
which He can spread the faith. Please

work on earth.

SUPPORT FOR OUR TROOPS The 478th Engineering Battalion from Ft. Thomas, as well as a unit from the reserve center in Ashland, will be deployed to Iraq sometime at the end of May. The Family Readiness Group at the Ft. Thomas army reserve center is holding a “Meet and Greet” event for all the soldiers and their families. There are 400 soldiers, including their families, so there could be as many as 1600 people at this event. The Readiness Group is asking all Ft. Thomas churches to help them feed these very deserving soldiers and their families with pre-packaged baked goods (Busken, Entenmann’s, etc.). They also need table workers to replenish the baked goods, artists to paint the children’s faces and a clown to entertain them. The event will be held on Saturday, May 5th from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Ft. Thomas Reserve Center. If you can help out by supplying baked goods and/or working, please contact Kelly Lavendar at 441-1114.
