 IN OUR PARISH

BURNING OF PALMS             In preparation for Ash Wednesday, we burn the palms you received last Passion (Palm) Sunday.  The ashes from this burning then become the ashes you receive on your forehead at the beginning of Lent.  Come join us this Tuesday evening, February 20th, at 7:00 p.m. (after Benediction) for this simple ceremony on the plaza in front of church.  In fact, why not join us for Benediction, too?

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS IN LENT     We will again this Lent change the 8:00 a.m. Mass on Wednesdays to 7:00 p.m., but this year we will add an evening of Adult Education.  Fr. Stef will offer               sessions each Wednesday on different Lenten subjects.  The first session, AAsh Wednesday, Doorway to Lent@, will be after the Ash Wednesday Mass, February 21st.

INSPIRATIONAL HOMILIES ON CD   Listen to God's message as you drive or share his message with a shut-in or friend.  Fr. Stef's January homilies are available on CD and can be picked up in the back of church or in the parish office.

ATTENTION HEALTH MINISTRY VOLUNTEERS    Please submit volunteer hours and committee name for January to Cheri Hunter by email at cheri_hunter2000@yahoo.com, by phone at 781-4507, or leave a note in the box by the parking lot door.  If you have any unreported hours from other months, just submit those with the January hours.  The hours are reported to St. Elizabeth on a quarterly basis – so you are never too late to report hours.  Thanks again for your help in this matter.

FOUND IN CHURCH   A woman’s bracelet was found in Church after Sunday mass last month.  If you have lost a bracelet, please call the parish office, 441-1352 to see if it belongs to you.

SKATE NIGHT   at Recca roller rink, sponsored by the Social Life Committee, to be held today, Sunday, February 18th from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.  Come and join your fellow parishioners for an evening of fun!

SERVICE OPPORTUNITY    Interfaith Hospitality Network needs volunteers for our next rotation at Christ Church on February 19th, 20th, and 21st.   The sign-up poster is at the Rossford Avenue exit of church.  Please consider bringing the Light of Christ to a homeless family by sharing a little of your time and energy with others.  Call Lisa Walburg at 441-4964 for more information or to volunteer.

“THE END OF TIMES AND WILL YOU BE LEFT BEHIND?”   Fr. Mike Comer’s talk has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m.   Fr.
