      IN OUR PARISH

CONGRATULATIONS  to Ann & Paul Basham who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week with a special blessing after the 11:30 mass. May God continue to bless them and their marriage.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE    Last Sunday, two cars were vandalized, one of them also robbed, while in the church parking lot.  One incident happened during 11:30 mass, the other one during the basketball games.  This has also happened recently at two other churches in the area.  Please do not leave any valuables in your parked car and try to keep an eye out for any suspicious happenings.  If anything does happen, be sure to report it to the police and the parish office.

MISSING A BOWL OR PLATTER?  We have many assorted serving dishes that have been left behind in McCrystal Hall.  If you think you may have forgotten to take a dish home with you after a reception, party, etc., please stop by the parish office and see if we have something that belongs to you.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING   Once again the teens in our parish will be collecting monetary donations after all Masses on Super Bowl weekend, February 3rd & 4th.  Last year we collected over $1,000 for local agencies that serve the area’s homeless, hungry and needy.  Teens – join in this weekend of giving and caring by calling Lisa Walburg at 441-4964 and reserve your soup pot and favorite exit door after any Mass.

BURNING OF THE GREENS   Mark your calendar for next Saturday, February 3rd at 7:30 p.m.  The Men’s Group will again light the skies with the annual burning of your loyal Christmas trees.  This is an old German ritual bringing in the new light of the coming year.  The Foresters will have a special movie for the kids at 6:00 p.m.  Hot chocolate, cider, marshmallow roasting and snacks will be provided at no cost.  Prepare to be amazed!

A WELCOME NEW MEMBERS BREAKFAST    sponsored by the Social Life committee, will be held Sunday, Feb. 4th after the 9:00 a.m. mass.  Please join your fellow parishioners in greeting these newest members and welcoming them into our parish family.

INSPIRATIONAL HOMILIES ON CD   Listen to God's message as you drive or share his message with a shut-in or friend.  Fr. Stef's December homilies are available on CD and can be picked up in the back of church or in the parish office.
