IN OUR PARISH
OUR
DEEPEST SYMPATHY is
extended to the family and friends of Millie Sudkamp, who was buried from our
parish on Friday, January 12th.
Please continue to pray for Millie
and her family.
THANK
YOU
To thank people in public is to risk
missing someone, but I would like to thank some folks for making our Christmas
celebrations go smoothly and be beautiful.
Thank you to Doug Smith, the choir, and all the musicians – the music
was quite nice; to Mary Kay Connolly, Tim Reynolds, Dave Thiel, and all who
helped decorate inside and out, Tom and Kathy Saalfeld, who donated the
Christmas trees, and to Jim and Bev Stegman, who kept everything watered; Judy
Leick and the Worship Committee, who prepared the liturgies and scheduled the
ministers, and generally oversaw everything.
Please take a moment and thank these people yourselves.
Thank you also to all who donated money for flowers and to all who served
us as liturgical ministers. It
really does take the whole parish to make our events all they can be.
Finally, I would like to thank our office and maintenance staff.
It gets very busy around here right before Christmas, and they were not
only competent, but smiling.
FREE
TO A GOOD HOME We
have a number of poinsettias left over from Christmas.
Please feel free to take one home with you.
They can be found in the back of church.
PLEASE
NOTE Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be cancelled this
week, due to the First Reconciliation service.
Please remember to keep all of our 2nd grade students in your
prayers as they prepare for this sacrament.
ATTENTION
ST. CATHERINE SIENA CLUB Please
remember that the next meeting is the 3rd Sunday, January
21st, instead of the second Sunday this month.
STEWARDSHIP
PLEDGE DRIVE If you haven’t already done so, please
return your pledge card to the parish office. Volunteers will soon be making
phone calls to those who have not responded.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
INSPIRATIONAL HOMILIES ON CD Listen to God's message as you drive or share his message with a shut-in or friend. Fr. Stef's December homilies are available on CD and can be picked up in the back of church or in the parish office.
LOOKING TO MAKE SOME EXTRA MONEY? We are looking for parishioners who would like to bartend and/or clean up when there is a party in McCrystal Hall. Training will be provided for anyone interested. Please contact the parish office (441-1352).
DO YOU EVER FORGET YOUR ENVELOPE?
We would like to offer the parish an opportunity to contribute in a
new way. Electronic Funds Transfers
(EFT) is a new trend that could make your life a little simpler.
EFT would cost you and the parish nothing. If you would like to know more
about this process or are interested in beginning to contribute in this manner,
please contact Mary Brzinski at 441-1352 or email mbrzinski@stcatherineofsiena.org.

DOUBLE YOUR GIVING
Did you know that
many companies in the area have "Matching Gift Programs" for current
employees, as well as retirees and surviving spouses of former employees?
Most companies match gifts to eligible charities or educational
institutions on a dollar for dollar basis, with annual maximum giving limits of
$5000 or more. St Catherine School is eligible for many of these programs,
so in addition to being tax deductible, your contribution's impact can be
doubled throughout the use of your employer's Matching Gifts Program. Please
check with your employer to see if you can double the impact of your giving.
WOMEN’S
