community and receive their Initiation Sacraments at the Easter Vigil. Our

candidates have been striving toward full communion with the church, we pray

their journey has been joyful and enriching.

Easter Flower Memorials. If you wish to remember a loved one during this

Easter Season, please place the envelope in the collection or return to the

Parish Office. Indicate the name of those you want remembered. Like

Christmas, names of all remembered will be compiled in the Memorial Book and

placed in the back of Church.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO LISTEN TO GOD’S MESSAGES WHILE DRIVING?......Would you like to

share his messages with a friend or a shut-in? Now you can! Fr. Stef’s

homilies from March 19th, 26th and April 2nd are now available on a CD. The

CD’s are free to parishioners and can be picked up in the parish office or in

the back of church after the weekend Masses. If you have listened to previous

CD’s and no longer are in need of them, please return to the church in order

for the CD to be recycled. Thank You.

ST. CATHERINE’S PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL AND THE BOARD OF EDUCATION......are

seeking new members to replace expiring terms. Please prayerfully consider

yourself or nominating someone else for a position of service, which is a

three-year commitment. Active members from age 18 through the senior years are

encouraged to share your time, talent and wisdom for the future needs and

spiritual growth of our parish community. Members are selected prayerfully

through a discernment process and not through voting or election. Nomination

forms are located in the back of church. Deadline for submission of names is

CAFETERIA MANAGER POSITION........St. Catherine of Siena Parish is seeking

applicants for the position of Cafeteria Manager. Duties will include

supervising other assistants, planning monthly menus, ordering food products,

Diocesan reports and Health Department visits. Minimal requirements include

basic computer knowledge and organizational skills. Applicant should be a

dependable self-starter with a friendly personality. Send resume and cover

ST. CATHERINE PLAYERS.....production of West Side Story will be presented on

Friday, April 21, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 23, 6:30 p.m. Also on Friday and

ST. CATHERINE MEN’S GOLF LEAGUE....join your friends and family on the 2nd & 4th

Tuesdays of the summer months for 9 holes of golf at the A. J. Jolly Golf

Course. Tee off between 4 & 6 p.m. Play against comparable handicaps and

enjoy a little summer golf! Regulars and subs are needed. Contact Kevin

(SPEND CUT) SCRIPS UPDATE...Lands End has increased their discount from 9% to

11% from 4/8 - 5/5 and Bath & Body Works has increased theirs from 13% - 18%

from 4/8 - 5/12. Perfect timing for Easter and Mother’s Day! Please note:

volunteers are needed to help sell Scrips after the 4:30 p.m. and 11:30 a.m.

weekend Masses. Helping once a month would be greatly appreciated. Call Gail

ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA CLUB TRAVEL GROUP....is planning a seven (7) day trip to

BRANSON, MO, September 10 - 16th. Cost: $579.00 includes transportation,

accommodations, meals, tips and shows. For information, call JoAnn (781-3847)

LENTEN COLLECTION.....Please bring all the goods you have collected during Lent

to the church NO LATER THAN 8:00 A.M. GOOD FRIDAY. Sorting and distribution

will begin at 8:00 a.m. Many people are needed to assist in this process. NO

ONE IS TOO YOUNG OR TOO OLD TO LEND A HAND. Pre-school children can help by

holding signs; parishioners whose health does not allow lifting can assist by

holding babies or manning the doors. If you have a Van or SUV and can help

deliver the items, please park in front of church on North Fort Thomas Avenue

or close to the Rossford Avenue door. Other cars are needed to drive the

volunteers to agencies to help in the unloading.

WAY OF THE CROSS/WAY OF JUSTICE....will take place through the streets of

downtown Cincinnati on Good Friday. Based on the Stations of the Cross, it is

a way to remember those who suffer in the world today. Meet at the Freedom

NEWPORT CENTRAL CATHOLIC 2006 DRAMA CLUB.....will present The Wiz at the Gala

performance on Thursday, April 20th with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at 6:00

p.m. The play will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the Gala are $40.00. One

Hundred percent of the proceeds go to support NCC’s Tuition Assistance Program,

which insures all high school students have the opportunity to attend a

parochial school. Additional performances are April 21st and 22nd at 7:30

p.m. and Sunday, April 23rd at 2:00 p.m. Tickets for these performances are

CATHOLICS RETURNING HOME.....hosted by Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in

Burlington, will take place on Thursday evenings from April 20th - May 25th,

7:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. This program is a 6-week series of informal sharing and

listening sessions on topics relevant to an inactive Catholic’s journey back to

the Church. We encourage you to invite a family member or friend to

participate in this series of informal talks. To be involved in this program,

VOLUNTEER WANTED....The Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Ft. Thomas need someone

to assist with pet visits two Monday mornings a month from 9:00 a.m - 12:00

p.m. The visits consist mostly of doing one on one time with our elderly

Sisters letting them play with and hold a puppy and occasionally a kitten. If

10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
