“IF
CHRIST RENEWS, THEN ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE IN HIM."
Christ Renews His Parish, otherwise known as "CRHP"(chirp) is making a
come back. Several years ago this program united our parish by focusing us
all with a vision of a Christ-centered, spirit empowered community. This
enabled a wide cross-section of our parish members to join together to share in
a recommitment to their faith, to the community of St. Catherine and to witness
the goodness of Christ working within each other. What is CRHP? It
is a spiritual renewal process, which calls together the members of the parish,
in order to experience personal conversion and Christian community in their own
parish. It is successful due to the fact that it is a simple process that
brings about personal rebirth and parish revitalization by focusing on
Eucharist, God's Word, Reconciliation, Shared Faith & Prayer, Discipleship
and Shared Ministry. The Christ Renews process begins with a Renewal Weekend.
The weekend is given by parishioners for parishioners and is open to St.
Catherine’s members, ages 19-99. The weekends have been scheduled: Women:
January 27th & 28th - Men: February 17th &
18th. Please prayerfully consider answering Christ’s call to
participation on the upcoming weekend. If
you are interested or would like further information, please contact one of the
following individuals: Sue Perkins 441-9459, Kathy Woltermann 441-6813, Dave
Barth 441-0194, or Tom New 781-4332
GUIDE BOOK & DIRECTORY UPDATE We are in the process of updating our annual Guide Book & Directory for the Church. The book contains the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How of our Church. The book is provided at no cost, including the mailing to each family, and again is being subsidized by local businesses that advertise in it. If you own or manage a business and would like to find out how to advertise in our book, please call the Parish Office. Recent survey results by Guide Book Publishing show that 92.1% of families would rather patronize our Guide Book & Directory advertisers over a non-advertiser. It “does pay” to advertise in our Guide Book & Directory.
INFORMATION UPDATE If any of your personal information has changed in the past year, (address, phone number, new baby, etc.), please advise the parish office as soon as possible so that the new Guidebook will have your correct information.
IN OUR DIOCESE
ADVENT REFLECTIONS AND CAROLS This prayer service will be held at St. Mary Church, Alexandria, on Tuesday, November 28th at 7:00 p.m. It will include special Advent music by Jim Wolfe and reflections on each of the Sunday Advent Gospels.
