Helen Roth and Mary Mattingly. Mrs. Roth’s funeral was held at St. Catherine’s

on Monday, January 23rd. Mrs. Mattingly’s passed away on Friday, January 20th.

Her funeral was to be held in Buffalo, New York. Please remember each of them

and their families in your prayers.

5. Our CCD high school students will stand outside the church exits with soup

pots, soliciting donations to help low-income people with rent and utility

bills. Please support them in this annual effort and be as generous as you

Marydale Retreat center offers that to you February 24 - 26. Msgr. Bill Cleves

will lead the retreat with a seriew of reflections on God’s hospitality.

Reflections will include looking at creation and the Eucharist as God’s

hospitality towards us and those in the Bible who answered God’s invitation.

ST. THOMAS PARISH....will host a four part faith development series titled “I

Believe” that focuses on understanding the Creed and how this expression of the

fundamental beliefs of our faith is critical to our Christian lives. The

A DAY OF DIALOGUE ON IRAQ.....will be held on Saturday, February 4, 9:30 a.m. to

12:30 p.m. at Kelly Auditorium on the Xavier University campus. Dr. Adeed

Dawisha, an Iraqi born Professor of Political Science at Miami University, will

present the point of view that the U. S. must stay in Iraq until Iraqis are

able to protect their state. Ray McGovern, a CIA analyst for 27 years and

co-founder of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, will represent the

view that the U. S. Should start withdrawing from Iraq now. Small group

HOSPICE OF NORTHERN KY.....is looking for caring and compassionate people to

help the terminally ill and families of Northern Ky. A volunteer training is

scheduled for February 7th & 9th from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at 1403 Alexandria

Pike in Ft. Thomas. This free training is deigned to educate and train those

who are interested in working with hospice patients and their families. No

healthcare experience is necessary. Hospice of Northern Ky volunteers provide

companionship, respite care, help around the home, or professional services. If

you would like to share with Hospice of Northern Ky patients and families,

please call 441-6332.

FT. THOMAS KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION....will be held on Thursday, February 23rd,

from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm for residents of the Ft. Thomas school district.

Registration will be held at each of the 3 elementary schools. Please bring

the child’s certified birth certificate, social security number and proof of

residency (rental lease, utility bill, etc.) to the registration. If you have
