RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN’S “CINDERELLA”....is being presented by St. Catherine

School on January 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th & 21st. Ticket order forms are

available at the school office. This year seats will be assigned on a first

order received basis, so get your request in early! The Saturday evening

shows, (January 14th & 21st) are dinner shows and the deadline for ticket

requests is the Tuesday before the show. For detailed show times and ticket

and January 21st. If you are a parent and can help or if you have high school

MARCH FOR LIFE NEWSPAPER AD.....sponsored by Northern Kentucky Right to Life,

allows all parishioners the opportunity to publicly express their opposition to

abortion. Next weekend, January 14th & 15th, parishioners will be in the rear

of church requesting you to sign your name to be listed in this ad. A $3.00

per name donation is suggested, or if you would like to list all the names of

your children, a $10.00 per family donation is requested to cover the cost of

this ad. Make sure your name is in this January newspaper ad.

REMINDER.....PLEASE RETURN....the Health Ministry Survey that was an insert in

the bulletin a few weeks ago. Your response will be greatly appreciated and

seriously considered.

 

ST. CATHERINE MEN’S GROUP......monthly meeting will be on Monday, January 16th

at 7:30 p.m. in McCrystal Hall. All men of the parish (21 years of age +) are

invited to attend and enjoy an evening of fellowship.

HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES.....through Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) Monday -

Wednesday, January 23, 24, and 25th. Assistance is needed in transporting

families in the IHN van to and from Christ Church, Fort Thomas, and the Day

Center in Newport, preparing a meal, hosting a meal and spending the night.

This is a great way for families and individuals to work together in service.

New volunteers will be paired with experienced helpers, so don’t let

inexperience keep you from answering the call. Call Lisa Walburg (441-4964)

for additional information or see the sign up posters at the Rossford Avenue

exit of the church.

BURNING OF THE GREENS....bring the family and join the St. Catherine Men’s Group

as winter is celebrated with “The Burning of the Greens”. Several Christmas

trees will meet their time-honored fate as everyone gathers around to enjoy the

light and warmth the trees will provide one last time. This Winter Celebration

will commence at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 28th, in the lower parking lot.

If you have not disposed of your live Christmas tree yet, please consider

ST. CATHERINE WOMEN’S RETREAT......February 24 - 26, 2006, Marydale Retreat

Center, Erlanger. Retreat Director, Msgr. Bill Cleves will be speaking on

“God’s Hospitality Towards Us and our Obligation to Return This Hospitality to

God and Others”. Suggested donation for the weekend is $110.00. A $25.00

deposit fee is requested to place your reservation. Please mail check to

CATHOLICS RETURNING HOME.....hosted by Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in

Burlington. Sessions will be held on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. -8:30

p.m., January 12th - February 16th. This program is a 6-week series of

informal sharing and listening sessions on topics relevant to an inactive

Catholic’s journey back to the Church. We encourage you to invite a family

ST. MARY’S PARISH, ALEXANDRIA....is hosting two talks on Modern Day Saints, who

are being considered for canonization. Both presentations will be in the

church on Thursdays after the 7:00 p.m. Mass (7:45 - 9:15 p.m.). The talk on

Pope John XXIII will be on Thursday, January 19th, and on Dorothy Day on

January 26th. The presenter is Dr. Brennan Hill, author and professor of

Theology at Xavier University.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTRY VOLUNTEER PROGRAM.....at St. Luke East in Fort Thomas and

St. Luke West in Florence is in need of volunteers. If you have ever been

hospitalized, you know receiving the Eucharist while in the hospital can be a

great source of comfort. If you have time to support this program on an

ongoing basis or simply to serve on the “substitute list”, please consider this

ministry. Becoming a Eucharistic Minister is easy and requires minimal
