WE WELCOME   to our parish family through baptism: Emma Kathryn Stevens, daughter of Jonathan & Angela.  May God continue to bless her.

WE ALSO WELCOME TO OUR PARISH  Bob Rottgers, who is doing his parish internship at St. Catherine. Bob is in his second year of theology at Mundelein Seminary and will be here until he returns to the seminary in the fall. While he is here, he will be living with Fr. Stef.  Please keep him in your prayers and take the time to introduce yourselves to him.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS IN LENT     We will again this Lent change the 8:00 a.m. Mass on Wednesdays to 7:00 p.m., but this year we will add an evening of Adult Education.  Fr. Stef, as well as guest speakers, will offer  sessions each Wednesday on different Lenten subjects. Next Wednesday, the speaker will be Seminarian Bob Rottgers.  The topic of his talk will be “Why is Lent a Time to Remember Our Baptism?”

FR. STEF’S SUMMERFEST CONCERT is now available on CD.    As an accomplished musician who combines his passions for faith and music, Fr. Stef's performance is a spiritual and inspirational musical experience. The concert CD can be picked up at the parish office.  There is no charge for the CD's, but if you would like to make a donation, you may do so when you pick up the CD.

INSPIRATIONAL HOMILIES ON CD   Listen to God's message as you drive or share his message with a shut-in or friend.  Fr. Stef's January & February  homilies are now available on CD and can be picked up in the back of church or in the parish office.  Look for the Lenten series part 1 in a few weeks.

AN INVITATION   If you’re confined to home and unable to attend Mass (even if it’s just temporary), please call St. Catherine Parish, 441-1352, if you’d like to receive Holy Communion in your home.  One of our Parish Ministries – Outreach to the Homebound – is waiting to bring the Eucharist to you, a family member, or even your neighbor.  We know that this is a need waiting to be filled, but we must first hear from you: So please accept this invitation and allow us to share the Living Bread – the Body of Jesus with you.

“THE END OF TIMES AND WILL YOU BE LEFT BEHIND?”   Fr. Mike Comer’s talk has been rescheduled for next Sunday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m.   Fr.  LENTEN PRO-LIFE PRAYER

Father of all mercy, we thank you for this season of grace and light.  We know that sin has blinded us.  Draw us ever closer to you, in prayer and penance.  Give all your people a clearer understanding of the profound dignity of every human life, including the children in the womb.  As we prepare to celebrate the death and Resurrection of Christ, strengthen our joy in the fact that life has already conquered death.  As we prepare to renew the promises of our own baptism this Easter, grant that we may live more faithfully as the children of God and the People of Life.  We pray through Christ our Lord.  Amen
